Just had a wallet refurbished. For $200 (and a two month wait) I would say the work was adequate at best. One of the reasons I had it refurbished was to have the surface of the “H” redone on the wallet. It wasn’t touched at all. It’s still as tarnished and old looking as it was when I sent it in. See photo. Really disappointing that the folks who did the work wouldn’t recommend to me to have the H replaced if they couldn’t simply refinish it. The staff in the store is also so very rude. No one greets you and they have horrible, condescending attitudes. I know that’s probably part of their schtick but it’s ridiculous. It doesn’t take that much effort to be friendly and kind. As I read through the Chicago Hermes store’s Google reviews, it appears many have the same sentiment.

Excellent customer service! Mo was very efficient with educating me about the brand, showing me bags, and finding prices.
The rest of the staff were really nice to me as well. No one annoyed me about buying stuff, which I appreciate.
Hermes has very high quality items with the best exclusive materials. I like their bags and scarves.

I walked in try to ask for a mini bag non quota bag, I understand there is an unwritten rule about Hermes: customer either has a long term SA worked with or buy some extra stuff before getting a hot bag. But I’m not happy when I asked about a bag, assistant told me they only saw one this year……apparently a lie…..

I would like to express my deep gratitude to sales manager Mr. Jasper. A month agoI bought Chypre for myself and my husband (without his presence). Jasper helped me figure out the sizes and for my luck was able to order my size from another state! I received my order after a few days and I am very happy with the purchases. Mr. Jasper was very polite and I am very grateful to him for his help. The size of the slippers also suited my husband, although I was very worried that I might make a mistake. Thank you!

My experiences at this store have varied significantly, with some visits being positive and others quite disappointing. On average, I've found that most of the staff here are not attentive to customers without prior appointments. This seems to be a common issue across many Hermes stores, so it's difficult to say if this particular location is the worst. However, I wouldn't recommend this store to my friends either.

The worst Hermes store in the US. At least the worst sales associate.We made an appointment through Four Seasons Concierge for checking some of the bags they are having.
Appointment was confirmed with Mrs St****e.
Arrived at the shop we met her. Her first answer “We have no bags at all in stock” I asked any?? I did not ask the famous bags!!! She repeated “The have no bags” she said, due to summer holidays the factory is closed in france and they did not get any delivery! Sure and my name is James Bond! I have never heard such a smart answer from anybody in my life. What I am wondering is does Hermes management train those answers or is it really the intelligence of the employees?? They must have really a high IQ for such creative answers to their apparently mostly less smarter customers who believe such fairy tails :)
But I am more wondering why she agreed to this appointment at all. She could have said this to the concierge and I would have not wasted my time!
