Bought a pair of ice skates from fb and they were way too tight. I brought them here to stretch and they ended up still being too tight. Turns out I had the wrong size entirely. I ended up getting a new pair and I'm happy with the new pair. I might have to stretch them a bit too but at least they're the right size.

Brought my son and my skates in for a sharpening. I thought I’d get the typical 5/8”hone. These blades were sharper than anything I’ve ever seen in 35 years of skating. Had to be a 3/8”-7/16” hone. My son had a rough time trying to stop and I ended up rolling my ankle. First of all, a size 11 youth skate should never receive skates that sharp and second any hone under 1/2” should be request not given without warning.

Called the store and in the middle of a weekday no one picked up. I then called one of their other stores to see if they had the products I was looking for at the first store and they said they should have them so I went to the west side store. At the west side store they didn't have the products I needed and the ones they did have were drenched in dust and priced about 40 percent higher than competitors. There's no lighting in part of the store and the counters at the front looked like a salvation army with their disorganization. In short, they don't answer the phone, the people across the company don't know what inventory they have and feed you disinformation and their store was dirty and overpriced compared even to the chain stores. Would strongly avoid.

We randomly decided to own ice skates rather than waste money on a rental session at Ribbon @Millennial Park for our nostalgic trip back to Chitown. Grabbed a ride over early morning before our flight, and both staff (Brandon? and Will) were incredibly helpful. They fitted us quickly, sharpened our new hockey skates, and were so affordable. Thanks for your great attitudes!

Incredibly inconsistent skate sharpening. I ask for the same cut every time and depending on the person I’ve had a great sharpen or I’ve obviously been given the wrong ROH and I feel like I’m stuck on rails and have no glide.

Service is ok.Nice place.Main reason I go here is because they're lucky.My kid rarely falls after a sharpening and wins alot when I go here for a sharpening.Its a luck thing and it's an hour longer to get here.

"There's no shame in not knowing how to do something, there is shame in pretending to know how to do something and botch the job". They messed up sharpening for two pairs of skates and I mean messed it up this time. Other times it's mediocre at best. I only go to this shop in case I need something urgent. We need a shop in the city well equipped reasonably priced with friendly and knowledgeable staff. This ain't it.
