Nice place to shop but the store manager is extremely rude and unpleasant.

Bunch of overpriced junk. Also I take medication that causes severe dehydration and had a small plastic water bottle that was sealed with a lid. I wasnt greeted politely but chased down and yelled at to keep my small closed water bottle up front. It gave a major ick. We left.

I love this thrift store; they have great, organized stuff, and most of their staff members are kind. Nevertheless, it would be great if their clothing items were priced.

I have never had a bad experience here. In the past two months I have been shopping here. I usually shop here two to three times a week. Anthony, always to be super helpful. I Wish they had the pricing more displayed. I love the Jazzy music and the selections. Appears to be more in order than most thrift stores. Lauren is nice also. I use to go to one on Lawrence and they do have cheaper prices. Though they are very unorganized. It helps to go into a store where you can actually have more of a visual. The don't have a restroom for the shoppers which is kind of a bummer. Though I still give it plenty of stars.

Large store with a variety of products. It is not the most suitable for looking for clothing bargains. It is not the cheapest nor do they have much of a vintage selection. Lots of clothes from brands like Old Navy or H&M

Great find! I was walking around Edgewater and I stumbled upon this place. I was looking for light sweaters for work and I found pretty good finds. I found a 90s Nike jacket that I love! And it was just 10 dollars. They also have lots of books. The staff are also friendly and helpful. I recommend this place, and I will come back when I’m back in Chicago.

Decent thrift store, but with several negatives. Almost nothing has a price tag. There are occasional signs posted with price ranges that provide no information on what part of the range items will fall at. There is a lot of furniture but it's on the pricey side for thrift stores (if you can find the price). I've gone twice for miscellaneous things and my total was $25 both times, which seemed totally arbitrary, especially because one time I only got things from the dollar clothes bin and dishes that were one dollar each... it should have been 16 dollars with my calculations, but he decided my dollar bin shirts shouldn't be a dollar? I don't know. I just wish there was more transparency with pricing, because as it is it just seems like the labels aren't real and the price is made up.

The whole entire experience is truly awesome from the staff that come to pick up donations, and the store selection of clothing and other items are not to be found anywhere else in Chicago!

Great thrift. I frequent here and have had very good and interesting experiences. For example, as pictured is an Irish made wool hat that could very likely be the hat I once left on the bus that I found here for just $3; as if the Universe is testing my material bondage. Though this hat means a lot to me and I still wear it daily, three years in now with it.
Other experiences include meeting interesting people with similar niche interests and concerns.
So beyond just the typical shop personnel review response, for the reasons expressed above this unique thrift is a vital resource to the community as it contributes to it's social fabric of meeting interesting people around the very interesting items folks can find here.
I also get a lot of my vintage tech at this place. For example I bought and am refurbishing an old IBM ThinkPad Laptop from the 1994-1995 era with new components and an OS/2 install in the near. The laptop might really be my cat's heating pad until I can get myself involved in a local computer museum or exhibit (also pictured.)

I love this place! I've shopped here for over 8 years and I make sure to stop in every time I'm in Chicago. I have gotten the most amazing finds here and at such great prices - clothing, books, knickknacks, furniture, art, craft supplies...I could keep going because they have EVERYTHING and half the fun is finding it! The staff is AMAZING and always makes me feel welcome. Come with an empty trunk or trailer, you're gonna need it to get all your treasures home!

Green Element Resale is a staple in the Edgewater neighborhood I have been coming in for 8 years. I furnished my entire home from this place - from the furniture to power tools down to bakeware and kitchen appliances. The owner is passionate about the environment and they do a lot of work in the community educating on climate change and the impact of consumerism on our natural resources. They do pickups for free when donating.
The employees are great, and the team has listened a lot to customer feedback over the years. The displays and organization of various products has improved immensely and I imagine it is a tough job with incoming deliveries daily. I would highly recommend a visit!

Furniture area smelled of mildew. They forced me had over my bag when you entering which for me was pretty uncomfortable. Wish there was a sign so I knew before entering.
