Enjoyed the tour and learned so much. Highly recommend visiting--I took away more than what I anticipated. The docent was very knowledgeable and able to respond to my questions.

Delighted to be back to the Glessner House, this time with my son, Henry. We had an OUTSTANDING docent for our visit to one of Richardson's masterpieces. What a great experience!

Wonderful historical experience with a guided tour of the home.
Historic house from 1887 complete with its original furnishings - the ideal way to explore architecture, history and design in Gilded Age Chicago. Designed by H. H. Richardson, America's leading architect of the time, it greatly influenced those who followed, including Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright. General tours, specialized tours, and other programs provide a variety of opportunities to experience the house and learn more about the Glessner family, and the preservation of their beloved home.
