The Hispanic male and female handling repairs and resizing stole a diamond from a cluster ring I inherited from my deceased grandmother. The Hispanic woman tried to claim the ring was missing a diamond when it was dropped off and that she never looked at the diamonds at the time of drop off, just the band to verify the karats of gold for resizing. They informed us the ring was missing a diamond 3 days later. When I showed her photos of the ring I took 20 minutes prior to handing it over to her, she attempted to persuade me the diamond was missing in a space there was no diamond to begin with. No attempt was made by the staff to accommodate me for damaging my ring or replacing the diamond THEY lost. Instead they attempted to insult me by repeatedly saying they didn’t want trouble from my partner and I as I became upset about the damage caused to my family heirloom while in their care and their attempt to blame me for giving them a ring missing a single diamond. Do not trust these people with your items. Freeman’s Jewelers has been a staple in my community for as long as I can remember but the lack of care and empathy related to how the Hispanic workers handled my family heirloom should not be over looked.

This place is ridiculous! I try very hard to support community businesses but this one makes it hard! I tried to bring in 2 watches that needed to be repaired. I couldnt even get through the door because of their "mask" policy which is frankly outdated as COVID has been on a decline and most people are vaccinated. Thats not the problem though....the security guard was a complete a*** If you want me to spend money on repairs then why are you charging $1 for a mask. Most people dont have masks or dont carry them yet you have a goon with an attitude, hustling walk-in customers for a buck? Why not offer a complimentary mask and let me spend my money? Never again!

Awful customer service, Hispanic lady who said she was the Manager need to take Manager classes because she was rude and unprofessional didn't greet me r ask can she help me this is my first time visiting this business ,I purchase a magnetic braceletThe bracelet were in different cabinets instead of her being patient she was short and throwing the ones I didn't want throwing them back in the cabinet, the security guard greeted me and told me to come back again, that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars

Highly do not recommend bad service and the fixed my watch gave me a old man band for it when I asked for a different one and the band fell apart the same day I got it.

This Jewelry store still has a mask mandate as of Monday July 12th. I’m okay with that, however when I go to a place like this prepared to spend a few thousand dollars on jewelry and you tell me at the door that you have to purchase their mask for 1 dollar!!! I’m out, no time for pettiness, my money will be spent elsewhere

First time here. The staff was friendly and I found a couple of great items there. I believe the woman's name who helped me was Monica. She was delicate, warm, patient and kind. The man who was doing security by the door was very kind as well. I will be back as it's nice to receive such warm service in this area of Chicago.
