Sadly it appears this craftsman has moved, according to the front desk. There is another watch place on 1407 that replaced batteries and adjusted the bracelet for me at a reasonable price while I waited.

FYI—this shop is closed! I loved going to Franko for my necklace repairs but unfortunately, last time I went in January 2024, there was a sign on the door announcing he has closed indefinitely.

10/10 service. I had in old watch that i got as a 8th grade graduation gift stop working. I took it to local jeweler and he put the wrong size battery in. It was pressing on the minutes hand and would not allow the seconds hand to pass. Franko looked at it and said whoever put this in didn't know what they were doing. 5 minutes later Franko put the right battery in and it's working like new. Almost a 20 year old watch brought back to life. Happy customer will be using Franko for all my watch needs going forward.

Franko’s work is truly amazing! Don’t expect any warm and fuzzies but his skill is not to be beat. He replaced four watch batteries (one watch was a Movado had been mishandled by the last person who opened it) and he worked on my watches for 30 minutes. My bill for this work was only $30 - batteries included. No credit card but PayPal worked.

Found by reviews this great jewelry and repairman! I have been there several times for watch battery replacement, watch band replacement, watch glass face replacement and sterling silver earrings repaired! Was totally satisfied with all work! I will keep going back and have referred him to friends!!

Bad customer service. I walked into the shop and wasn’t given any guidance on what to do or when Franko would be able to help me. No greeting or anything. He was working and there were 2 people in front of me and he didn’t give any of us any guidance or say he would be right with us.

I went to Franko after the place I originally planned to go to closed early for the day. Next time, he’ll be my first choice. Franko adjusted my watch bracelet while I waited, getting me a perfect fit in no time at all. He even charged less than the other place.

Highly recommend Franko's if you need your watch battery repaired. Believe the good reviews! We were in and out in about 5 minutes and Franko replaced the battery right then and there for $15. Too easy!

I recently relocated from Chicago to San Miguel de Allende MX...but I would be remiss if I didn't write a review for Franko. For the four years I lived downtown Chicago, he was my "go to" for everything jewelry and watch related...whether it was repair work or replacing batteries or more. He is a master and such a nice person! Nobody better!

The rotating bezel on my Tag Heuer needed a new click spring. But it hadn't been off since 1994 and was very stubborn. Franko got it off and found a part in his stock that would work. Turned it around in one day, 40 bucks. If you need a watch guy in Chicago, Franko is your man!
