There are a lot of beautiful and elegant dresses in women's clothing. Some are pricey but most of them are affordable and the quality is great as well.

We stopped in this Macy's while we were in Chicago visiting during the holiday season. It was a nice Macy's had a lot of good decorations and decor. The atmosphere was very very nice service. We didn't get waited on or spoken to so I can't really talk about that value. It was a little more expensive I guess in downtown Chicago

Unbelievably slow. The whole purpose of online pickup is to get your things quick and head out other wise you would be shopping for it on your own. When I got there there was 2 associates at customer services, then 1 left for 20 minutes and came back walking really slow. Then their systems take forever to load. Your better off going the extra distance to a Macys at the suburbs than coming here.

I was on hold for literally 2 hours. And when they finally answered the phone they never said anything i waited for an extra 15 min since it had taken so long to get a reply. i eventually hung up. Not sure maybe that’s what they wanted me to do since nobody was saying anything for almost 20 min straight.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - EVER Someone opened an account using my telephone number. I called "customer service". All of the customer service numbers require you to have an account. I don't have one. I finally found a way to get to a live person. She said the fraud department would send me a letter in 7 days. After I hung up, I realized she didn't ask for my address. I tried calling back and once again got caught up in the neverending circle of we need your account number. Tried to find a corporate number to register a complaint...no luck. Obviously, Macy's doesn't care about customer service. Wish I could have awarded a big fat zero on stars.

Do not get the Macy's credit card. I applied and was accepted when I made a large purchase. The card never arrived and despite trying multiple times I couldn't access my account. Only after the account was overdue and they contacted me did I even get the opportunity to pay my balance. I had to pay a fee and interest and STILL couldn't talk to a person to try to resolve things. I will never use their credit card services again.

People work in curbside pick-up are worst here!!! Usually curbside makes things so much easier when you order online. But I used their curbside 3 times and I had bad experiences each time. Last night, there is guy came up and literally threw my order through my window. Curbside people supposed to put my order in trunk but he kept asking rolling down my window which is ridiculous!!! I saved my money for my favorite bag and finally when I pick that up, some random guy just threw it in front of my face. I still don't get why they don't put my bag in the box just plastic bag?!! Basically, just stop doing that curbside service MACY'S - that is not nice or train people so much better!!!!

My experience was horrible I was shopping with my grandkids earlier today and I was in the Levi department and a heavy set white Woman was very rude to us. I asked if she worked there because I wanted help instead of helping us she was just gossiping with her coworker talking about another coworker. Then started following us. She looked very unprofessional she had on grey sweat pants and a dingy Tshirt on... Sooo Macy's doesn't require their workers to have a dress standard for employees anymore? And she had body odor. Never once did she ask did we need help just following us. I wonder because we are black and I felt profiled. There were other customers that weren't black and she was all smiles and so willing to help them. DON'T waist your time in the Macy's on State street just shop online instead. That was my first department but that Woman just messed up my entire shopping experience. They need to hire people who actually care about their appearance and people who shower dairy.

Classic department store with surprisingly good selection and deals. The Walnut Room is almost as old Marshall Fields customers will remember. Salespeople are better than expected.

Disappointed! Sales personnel in Men's not at all helpful. Had been trying to get Walnut Room reservations since June for the week we would be in Chicago- by the time remembered too late. Decided to shop & then get a picture of the tree - WAS REFUSED. I am a GOLD MACYS CCD customer and was treated horribly. Thx Macys - my last purchase today!

Had a wonderful experience at Macy's. Went with my son to get some dress clothes and suit. The service was excellent. She was attentive and informative making it quite easy to make decisions. They had a sale going on and received some very nice discounts. Also went to the shoe department and enjoyed the same level of service. I wish all my shopping experiences were as good as this.

Got charged twice for one item on Black Friday when the lady who rang it up said it didn't charge twice, and haven't heard back from anyone yet. No one was very helpful either. Overall, great deals on some things.

So many great deals with the sales for the pre Black Friday extravaganza! I had no clue about this until I walked into the store. Lots of things are 60 and 70% off but the majority are 25% off. Now everything's overpriced so everything is already marked up about 30%, so with the 60 and 70% off it was a steal! Ended up buying a few Christmas ornaments, would have been about $200 but got it for $60! Cha-ching $ ! Really enjoyed walking around a childhood memory of Toys R Us. Now it's not the same as the brick and mortar locations from many years ago. But it was nice to see the logo and the giraffe ! Everything was well organized and kept In each department on every floor. The outside store window decorations are a bit blah. They're not what they used to be when it was Marshall Fields. Still enjoyed seeing them, sadly just not the same -(

Macys has stepped up their game! 1) They've done numerous renovations and the store looks more modern without losing its authentic vintage feel. The old water fountains from the 1920's are still there even though they don't work they have a plaque in the wall explaining what they were. 2) They sold half the building and it was renovated into fancy office space. The office side looks elegant and modern. All of the updates make it feel like a good place to be. 3) They have hired better staff. They went out of their way to help me every time I had an issue. It wasn't pushy. It wasn't like a commission based thing, it all just felt like excellent customer service. 4) The deals are incredible these days. I'm not sure what changed. Macys use to be so over priced. I went in there and got a few pairs of pants, and a shirt for barely $80 after discounts. These are higher end well made clothes, so I'm very impressed. 5) They've increased security. More security tags, more security cameras, and guards. Decreased thefts = a safer place to shop for the rest of us. I heard about the smash and grabs and no one wants to shop near that madness so this level of security is needed. I hope they keep it up!
