would not recommend this location at all!!! never opened on time but always close early , cashiers are rude most of the time it’s only 1 register open! sad that the businesses in the community live up to the bad stereotypes do better.

On the morning of 08/04/24 I stopped at 8am when they say they open after working 16 hours the night before to show up to a lady shaking her head saying she’s a manger and that they are not open although on the website and store front it clearly says open at 8am - Very unprofessional young lady you can tell her life involves drama !!! I will be contacting regional manager this was very unprofessional and not how you conduct business at all!!

I’ve been living out here on the south side of Chicago 2 years and 1 month and I could say I’ve called this Family Dollar phone uncountable times and it always goes straight to voicemail they have no intentions on answering calls from the customers…and you never know what time they open or close

I have never been so humiliated and disrespected. The young lady who stated that she was the manager said her name was Antionette spoke to me and another customer so disrespectfully.
1) I walk in at about 8:30pm and she says 5 minutes. I’m not thinking that she is speaking to me as we were not previously engaged in any conversation.
2) I believe about 10 minutes later while in line she is the only one cashing out customers and there were about 10 of us in line, one customer asked why is she the only one ringing out and she replied the other 2 coworkers working had other things to do
3) I believe it was about 8:45 and another customer walked through the door and she said very loudly “closed” when clearly the website says the store closes at 9:00pm
4) The manager kept going back and forth to 2 different registers as she was only taking cash at the second register and kept speaking in a loud tone of voice that the first register was card only, she did not at any point say that she could not give cash back at said register
5) The next customer in line completes her transaction with selecting cash back and this is when this manager went to left field by yelling and berating the customer implying that she was an idiot continuing to talk done to her and now mind you never was the customer disrespectful or arguing with this manager
6)All the customers in line are not saying anything but you can see from their facial expressions that they were not pleased by how she was speaking to the customer
7) I’m next and she could see from my facial expression that I was not pleased with the situation, so I inquired at what time does the store close, her responses was 8:30 and then corrected herself and said 9:00. She then states I said 5 minutes when you entered the store I responded that if you were to speak in complete sentences then the customers would know what you were saying. She continued to berate me for asking and wanted to go back and forth, after standing in line for at least 10-15 minutes she refused to cash me out, also stating that the district manager gave the okay to close at 8:30.
This type of passive aggressive behavior in the black community with black customers is so unacceptable, why should I have to go in a different cultural environment to receive good customer service, my time was wasted and to be demeaned in public by someone that is at work to service the customers is totally unacceptable.
I will be following up with a call to corporate!!!!

It’s 842 am Monday and they are not open!! An associate is there, letting another coworker in, but not the customers, no explanation. If the store says open then it need to be open,
