Let me start by saying I usually do NOT leave bad reviews. However, this particular visit requires one. I booked an online appointment through booksy for a silk press at 1130am on July 26th, which required a non-refundable deposit of $40.
Shortly after booking, I get a phone call and a text from the stylist Britney, stating that she was not feeling well and if she could reschedule me for the following morning. I respectfully declined because I booked the appointment for which worked with MY schedule and I was unavailable the next day. I asked for my deposit back and she said she would find a new stylist that would be able to take me. Fine, no problem.
I arrived at the salon at 11:25, signed in and waited for my turn. At 11:40, the stylist (Kisha) says she would be with me shortly as she was finishing a client. No problem, I can wait 20 minutes for my turn. The time is now 12:15 (45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment) and I am still waiting to be serviced. I am now irritated because I have other things planned with my day and had an appointment at 3pm.
At 12:40pm (now an hour and 10 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment) I get called over to the chair. I explain to Kisha that I have somewhere to be at 3pm and if she would be done. She was confused by this. I don't get out of the chair until 3:15pm and my hair is NOT pressed. She then proceeds to tell me the style will last 2 days!!! I've had silk presses that have lasted me weeks! This is something I could have done at home to come out looking the way it did.
I am upset because this style cost me $95 plus a tip (booksy asks you to tip BEFORE the service), my hair is a mess (puffy on the ends), I've missed my appointment and my time has been wasted.
If you want a nice silk press, please go somewhere else. This place is completely unprofessional and do not honor your appointment times. I will not be going back.

Shae was professional and did a great job from shampoo to straightening and trimming. I had a peaceful experience, which was much needed. She was also clear about trimming being an additional fee. I appreciate that she didn't shame me into getting my ends trimmed but just asked if I was interested. She also gave me a brief tutorial on how I can wrap my hair. The one picture is from the next day.

If you want to get your whip done for a retwist, shampoo and conditioner go down and ask for Demetrius or her daughter Kish who does the shampoo and just sit back and relax and enjoy the great feeling of your hair . Keep up the great work, I recommend you go. Awesome, Awesome!!!!!!

I’ve been a client of Demetria for 7 months now. She’s a great loctician she be willing to answer any questions you may have and give you the best advice and knowledge you’ll need throughout your loc journey. Demetria, the Awesome and talented Loctician has saved my loc experience. I was starting my loc journey and I was getting ready to cut them off, because I disappointed by a former loctician. I was encouraged by Demetria, to let her take a look at my hair before doing anything. Her Amazing talent has changed my perspective. My locs are healthy and long now, after trusting her with my hair.
