Love the staff and community events. Rooms are pretty great as well walls are a little then tho. The only negative thing is that the showers scream at you for a minute or two but that only happens once when taking a shower. Another thing is the elevators you can't really tell how many elevators are out if your on an upper floor so I think a little heads up about that would be nice .

I kind of miss the sunlight (our apartments window faces another building) and the price is wild, but I like living here. ParcelPending is nice to have. I wish the washing machines worked better.

All things considered I’ve been pretty happy with my time here, I’ve definitely had problems such as water issues, some wildly mixed results on roommates and frustrations over the elevators constantly going in and out. But my room and all it amenities have been great, the RA’s are amazing and I really appreciate all the events they hold, having a work out space and laundry in the same building is really nice, the study room and art room they have is extremely fun and useful and in general this is an extremely personal thing but it makes me feel safe and happy living in my own room.

This is my third year living at the Dwight and overall, it's been a good experience. The rooms are spacious and come with furniture (dorm style) which is great for students like me. The kitchens and bathrooms are nice and it's generally pretty quiet, which I appreciate. The management staff has always been helpful, and the building comes with some nice amenities like a lounge space, the graffiti room, and a gym area. The only things that have bothered me in my years living here are the high temperatures (especially in the upper floor apartments) and the price of the laundry. It gets very expensive, especially if you do laundry often, like me. But overall, I have enjoyed my time here.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful! The Dwight provides lots of activities for students to partake in through the school and around the city!

The space itself is nice and comes with some useful furniture. The lease was also kind of perfect timing for a summer internship. However, the staff is generally very unhelpful with complaints and messages, the front desk staff is pretty unfriendly, and the laundry services are expensive. I would further say that the amenities here are WAY overstated and do not live up to their descriptions.

I lived at Dwight Lofts my freshman year at Columbia, as most people who live there do. I lived on the 16th floor, which only housed 4 apartments, each a 4-bedroom 2 bath. The 15th and 16th floors are the "Gender Fluid" floors. My apartment was nice, but I think the building needs to take into account the quality and amenities and their cost. Other apartments had nice, full leather armchairs and a leather couch, and comfortable bar stools, where as mine had one leather couch, and two wooden "classroom" chairs and uncomfortable metal bar seats. The bathroom I shared with two other students had a wall/ceiling cracking issue, and just as a warning THE BUILDING HAS NO A/C FROM MID-FALL TO FEBRUARY. My roommates and I, living on the hottest, smallest floor, were just instructed to "Open the windows" or "Buy a fan." Which we obliged. Not having individual A/C units with actually controllable A/C monitors would be nice. I had the single room, Twin XL with the window. It was a small room, maybe about the size of most walk-in closets, but it got the job done. My room came with a sturdy, no-give mattress and bed frame, a chest-closet with no doors (like my roommates had) and three drawers, a very large desk (which I was very thankful for) and an office chair. OH! and don't forget the oddly placed window shared between my bedroom wall and the wall of the room across from mine. If I stood on my bed, and held my phone up to the window, I could see everything my roommates were doing and vice versa. Not very private at all. Each TV is different as well. My apartment's shared TV was a fairly old Samsung "Smart" TV that was more like a "Barely Passed" TV. We never had any issues with any of the appliances, and the apartment had a crap ton of shared kitchen storage space. It's the perfect Freshman dorm.

There are always smiling faces at Dwight Lofts! The building is in a fabulous location in the Loop, and there is always something to do. Dwight Lofts is eager to help students, and offers something for everyone. My personal favorite is the Sky Lounge!

The facilities are great and the staff are very friendly. I feel safe living here and it is in a good location of being in a quieter area but still close to the city

Honestly, it’s not a bad spot, the price is a bit crazy for what you get but to be fair it is a decent dorm in the heart of the loop. The security are nice people, but some (not all) are lazy or don’t care. The laundry room is fine, it’s got some d*** app you gotta use but it’s functional. There’s almost always a elevator down, which is very inconvenient and needs to be accounted for when planning your day. The staff is all really nice and usually I don’t have a problem getting something fixed. No serious huge problems, it’s in a solid area by plenty of food, train stations and other nice amenities. 8/10, the little problems can be fixed and it’d be a 10/10, but still one of the best college dorms you can ask for.

Everyone is so friendly. It's a really chill environment and there's always something that's happening. Everyone has been really helpful since I moved and I'm glad to be spending my first school year at The Dwight.
