My daughter has been at this daycare for about 4 months so far and I love it. She's excited to go to school everyday. She even wants to go on weekends. She has made friends that she love and talk about all of the time. We have playdates on the weekend. The daycare is clean and vibrant. I'm happy we are able to call Cornerstone home.

Our son was in the infant program for 10 months since he was 5-month old. He absolutely loves the teachers. Ms Dominique and Ms Adriana are the best. We are really lucky to have them as my son's first teachers. I give a three-star because I have reservations about their infrastructure and management.1. The infant and the toddler classrooms share one entrance door. So there's inevitable interaction between infants and toddlers. The toddler teachers for some reason often arrive late or leave early, leaving the toddlers temporarily in the infant classroom. This, I believer, promotes the spread of germs and causes confusion in practicing the safety protocols for covid. For example, when a toddler is tested positive, should the infant class also be closed for quarantine?2. Their health and safety protocols have not been very consistent over the time. In early 2021, they were kind of loose on children with symptoms as long as he/she doesn't have fever. But in late 2021, suddenly children have to be absolutely free of any symptoms because they said they can't afford closing classes any more due to covid cases. And they only started to require negative covid test for sick children in early 2022.3. The account activity is not very transparent. It's not possible to view the account activity and balance online and they only provide the account statement when you ask for it. Sometimes, there are unexplained or incorrect charges, like late pick-up fee or late payment fee. 1) You might find out these charges months later. 2) They're not very responsive when you ask them to clarify and/or waive.4. During the summer when teachers take long vacations, they hired some really terrible substitute teachers. I think they can do a better job in screening the candidates and also perhaps announce long vacations in advance.

Living down town can be great but difficult to find a place you trust to leave your child. After interviewing just about every daycare we decided on Corner stone. It feels safe secure and and you get update of your child's activity all day.. even pictures.. also what they ate. Nice private play area outside..and u can opt out of neighborhood walks field trips.. as Chicago is still Chicago :) *Update on Cons: My son loved the "summer time fun daycare" and preschool teacher Mrs Vannessa so much that when it was time to go to their Prek class and a new teacher he stopped liking Corner Stone school altogether and that made our morning Tough. 1.Many daily photo updates soon Ceased, (if luck we'd get 1 that day)2. He had trouble eating,3 he said they'd sit w their legs crossed to do "Meditation" (as Christian we dont do these practices that originate from Pagan Worship). I teach him prayer to Jesus at home. 4."Group Bathroom time" was not being monitored so we had to eventually take him. I still recomme d the 3 and under classes as they require more interaction daily with the parents..lots of pics and videos of ur little one allllll day , even monitored bathroom time.

Cornerstone has been such a blessing for our family! Our daughter has been going there for roughly three years now. The entire staff has been amazing and my daughter has learned and grown so much. She has made several friends and she is always so excited to talk about her day when we pick her up. We are going to be so sad to leave at the end of the summer.

This was a great find. My son has been going to Cornerstone since he was 6 months. The teachers and staff are very caring and professional. The school is very warm and welcoming and decorated throughout with kids crafts and pictures. They have projects and activities even as infants during the week. They use the Brightwheel app to post notes, pictures and videos. The students and staff come from are diverse international backgrounds. The directors and assistant directors are open and communicate well. During these pandemic times they have taken many precautions and keep classes small. They are a nonprofit and tuition is a tad reasonable than any standard daycare ( we luckily haven’t been charged tuition for the 3 months lockdown). They are open longer than other schools too so it was so convenient for drop offs and pickup

We did five daycare tours to find the right place for our two year old and CCLC fully had our hearts. Five weeks in, our VERY SHY girl jumps out of bed every morning to get dressed, practically dragging us out the door to be with her buddies at daycare. When we met with director, Lois for our initial virtual tour, I knew right away that we had found a special place. Pointing to photos of all the adorable kids and their country flags, she was beaming with pride explaining how their center welcomes children from all over the world and every socio-economic group. As she walked us through all the spaces, I noticed how bright and spacious the rooms were. One of my favorite aspects about their building is that they have a large rooftop play area that wraps around the building. In the summer months, they even have sprinkler parties. When we came in-person to grab the paperwork, I was blown away by the amount of artwork in the corridors. My husband and I are both creatives and all the colors and unique applications felt so happy and inviting! But what REALLY made my mama's heart happy is the joy I felt among the staff. You could feel from every person we came across that they love what they do. That's the type of environment I want my little one in.I should also mention that their daycare phone app ROCKS!!! We get notifications all throughout the day...what she had for meals and how much she ate, lots of adorable photos and vidoes showing all their activities, when she went down for her nap and how long she slept. It's so comforting to feel connected to what she's doing all day!Five stars plus for CCLC!!!

We have both our kids at Cornerstone for about 7 months - one in pre-K and one in early preschool. Cornerstone is great and the best choice we ever made for our kids. Before choosing Cornerstone, we have been at 2 other centers that had a high turnover rate of teachers, were more expensive, and less professional. We really like Cornerstone's educational program in both of the classrooms, the diversity of kids, the great permanent staff, and their overall way to educate and communicate with our kids. They are loving and kind and really care about the principles of child care. Unfortunately, we have to leave this school, because we are moving back to our home country, but during this last week of attendance the teachers of my older child prepared a farewell party and a super sweet memory book with pictures, drawings, and cards. It made my daughter feel really special! And the teachers of my little one in preschool put so much effort and patience into helping him use the potty during the past months and really made him feel comfortable doing so. What we also really like is their own school playground so kids are able to go outside once or twice a day depending on weather conditions. Thank you, Cornerstone, for a great time!

I don’t know if I can express in words how wonderful this place is. Our son attended Cornerstone for over 3 years since he was 2 years old. The first thing you notice when you come in is the feeling of being at home, a sense of community, and caring. Everyone that works there have been wonderful, from the teachers to the front desk person and the directors. All the staff knows all the kid’s names and are always available and kind. They have so many additional programs in the classrooms, like science, yoga, Bobbie the bear (work out class), music, art etc. They have an attached outdoor playground and go outside everyday weather permitting. It’s a very diverse school, with kids and families from all walks of life, background, ethnicities, and languages spoken. Plus, it’s the best priced school in the neighborhood :)

Excellent school with great teachers and staff members that truly love what they are doing!. I like the school because has a lot of advantages. hey celebrate different cultures and backgrounds. The activities look really fun, and we get lots of videos and updates. There is lots of arts and craft, producing seasonal souvenirs that we can hang up at home. . We have had a great experience at Cornerstone Children's Learning Center. The staff is very helpful.

We moved to Chicago from Poland when our son was not even 2 years old. We started in toddlers group for couple of weeks then transferred our son to 2s. Even though the beginning was little difficult the place is awesome. I have no words to describe how caring all the teachers are, how involved all the staff is, how great and diverse everyday program is at CCLC. This was the best choice we have ever made for our son. PS. Even the food was great as he was always eating something. So if you are to pick a safe and truly caring place for your little one CCLC should be number one on your list.

This is a fantastic school. My daughter is always playing happily when I pick her up. There are daily activities for the kids which happen weekly - music, science, Spanish, art, and gym class. The staff is great; you can tell they are committed to every child's success. I couldn't have imagined a better place for my child.
