I was injured at work and do not know why I listened to workers comp department and went to Concentra instead of an emergency room. I was hit by a heavy machine at work I injured my knee, back, and arm. I sat in the waiting room for an hour before they called me to go and do the breathalyzer and urine (they make you wait so the alcohol builds in your system) I don’t drink or do drugs. Then I sat in a room for over 2 hours and when the physician finally came in to see me there was nothing she could do for me other than say yep you are injured. No x-rays MRI’s nothing. I go back a couple of days later still no x-rays or anything and my knee, back , and arm are still killing me all they say is do physical therapy not knowing if anything is seriously wrong because they are treating it like I fell . So I am waiting to get my MRI from Midwest Orthopedic out of Rush hospital to see what’s really wrong.
Next time if I ever get hurt I am calling an ambulance and not going to Concentra.

I was recommended by CPS volunteer office to have a TB test for application. I live in the States and have a recent international travel 1 and half years ago. The assistant is afraid to give TB test immediately and want to have a physician see me first. Then it is an endless waiting. I have stayed at the exam room for 2 hours until a MA came in. She gave me a TB test and didn't tell me why the physician didn’t come. My guess is concentra branch may have fewer or no physician on site and MA and nurses can not make simple decision by themselves. Guys, tuberculin skin test always is the first step. If it’s positive, you will take further investigation, such as X-ray. The staff is lack of basic medical knowledge. Even though the name says it is urgent care, the service is not that quick and medical quality seems not reliable. Hope it can run with labor improvements.

Go to any other Concentra location instead of this one. I went in for a lift test, drug screen, and physical for a job. 2 weeks later they told my employer I never completed my physical. I did. So just to clear everything up i went to do the physical, twice. Front desk worker was confused because she showed me the physical was completed but the provider scratched out her signature. So completed my physical for the second time and left. Then, 2 weeks after that Concentra told my employer that my drug test was "lost in transit" and I had to return to retake it. I called the lab where Concentra sends the specimens they collect to and they confirmed they received my specimen and tested it, 5 times because I spoke to 5 different MROs throughout 2 days and all 5 confirmed my specimen was received, tested, and never "lost in transit." Concentra continuously misinformed my employer at so many stages. Thankfully I took it upon myself to resolve the issue and speak to the necessary people on both my employers and the lab testing facility side. Unprofessional and sheer carelessness from this Concentra location. The managers I spoke to lacked the initiative to help me navigate this issue. The lab was even confused as to why Concentra was misinforming me and my employer since at no stage did the lab themselves report anything about my specimen being "lost in transit". There are deep-rooted issues in this location's operations. This Concentra location truly almost jeopardized my career. Awful experience here. Mind you, this was the shortest version of the story I could give.

The place was clean and the front desk secretary was inviting and informative. The actual cna or nursing assistant that took my test was very direct and instructional. She wasn’t friendly or mean just blah. Overall I had a decent experience and would recommend going to this location.
