I’ve been a patient for nearly 30 years - with a few years off while in NY. I couldn’t recommend her more. This is someone I know truly cares for me and my health and wellbeing.

I have been seeing Dr. Skul for several years. She has always been attentive and collaborative in addressing my health issues and concerns. To her credit, she does not approach the practice of medicine reductionistically but rather holistically.

Dr. Boyer is wonderful. She listened so carefully to all of my concerns and took a long time addressing everything with me, which is so rare for doctors nowadays. She’s extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

The best care. I have been so fortunate to have the Comprehensive Center for Women's Medicine as my medical provider for over 15 years. Dr. Hoyer and Dr. Skul are knowledgeable, caring and thorough. Over the years I have recommended them to friends who have also found them to be an amazing asset to their overall health and wellbeing.

Dr. Skul is incredibly kind and resourceful. After years of battling the effects of a radiated thyroid, I’m feeling balanced and ready to tackle a healthier diet and lifestyle.

I started going to CCWM about 13 years ago to see OBGYN Dr. Jean Walker. I loved her so much and would have continued seeing her forever. Unfortunately, she passed away about 10 years ago. I only found out when I called to confirm my IUD appointment and the office told me she had died. I was in shock and, although they said they sent something out to patients, I had not received any notice. They referred me to someone she had worked with at Rush, and I had a good experience with them.I continued at the practice to see Dr. Danuta Hoyer for a few more years. Back then, I really loved her. I even told family and friends to see her. I was concerned about weight gain and digestive issues. She took her time, taught me about glucose levels, and educated me on the effects of food on health. Looking back, I realize now the damage the years I spent with her did to me. When I first started seeing her, I got a full blood work-up and was very healthy. I've never had abnormal levels of anything in my life (I'm very lucky). At the time, I weighed 199 pounds and the look of concerned shock on Dr. Hoyer's face I will never forget--"that's much too much for your frame!" She put her fingers around my wrist and told me that with my frame, I should lose 60 pounds. It was like tunnel vision on from there. Through diet restrictions and exercise, I lost 40 pounds quickly (too quickly, in retrospect). I enjoyed being lighter and fitting in old clothes--and the office ladies cheered me on whenever I went to weigh in. When I could not seemingly lose the last 20 pounds, Dr. Hoyer began recommending I buy weight-loss supplements they had in the office. She even invited me and told me to invite a brother I was concerned about to an event someone was hosting to learn more about the products. That's when I started to question things. My digestive issues had not improved, my blood work was just as healthy as it was before I lost the weight, and I did have more confidence (but that's because I felt more attractive by society's expectations not because of anything inherently better about me). I declined to buy supplements every time, but I would have continued seeing her if not for being told they no longer took insurance and it would cost $350 out-of-pocket for a well visit.Things may have changed with the practice since then, but I am grateful I felt forced to go elsewhere for my care. Since then, I have had care that is TRULY holistic (and doesn't equate weight with health). I'm all for doctors educating and celebrating their patients on healthy lifestyle changes, but not only to the end of weight loss. In the years after I saw Dr. Hoyer, I dealt with disordered eating, as well as self-esteem issues when I gained weight back. When I told a doctor that Dr. Hoyer's approach to my digestive issues was to lose weight and change my diet, she shook her head and said I had been undiagnosed/misdiagnosed and that there was no association between what I was dealing with and weight. I hate that I lost so much time with this practice.

Dr. Hoyer is a great listener. The only thing I don't like is the office pushing their line of vitamins and supplements.

I have been seen Dr. Vesna Skul for about 5 months and by far, the services received have been excellent. Not only she has taken great care of my health, but she is very understanding and lovely to speak with. She patiently takes the time to listen to my concerns, answers all my questions with much respect and I never feel rushed. Her staff is very friendly and professional. And based on my experience so far, I do recommend this women’s health clinic.

I can honestly say that Dr. Hoyer is one of the best physicians around. This is coming from someone who has worked in healthcare the past 26 years. I feel that she gives the best comprehensive care. I feel included in the decisions involving my care, most importantly, I feel heard. It is clear that we are a team. She will spend all of that time that you need to provide the best plan involving your health. She digs deep, so prepare yourself for that. Again, without hesitation, she is the best physician I have ever had.
