Codal knocked it out of the park for our design project! The effort, expertise and diligence they brought to the project was above and beyond most design agencies I've worked with in the past. They took intricate care in reviewing our data and business requirements and even spent many hours interviewing internal stakeholders, existing customers, and potential customers to formulate a strategic and well rounded design strategy for our project. They exceeded all our expectations throughout the entire process; always punctual for meetings, flexible with scheduling, and eager to produce high quality content. Their work ethic, high spirits, expertise, and positive attitudes made working with every member of their team easier than I thought was possible and we were actually sad to wrap up the project after a successful hand off to our dev team. My only regret is not hiring them for development services on top of the UX, design, and copywriting services they provided. I would gladly work with them on any design project again and hope to do so in the future with the addition of their development resources. Like any design project, you will get out what you put in, so if you're able to provide the inputs they need and collaborate/communicate requirements effectively I have zero doubts Codal can replicate the success we experienced on any project they get their hands on.

Codal did a great job helping us redesign and manage our Shopify Plus store, as well as build an additional Shopify store. The management team has been easy to work with and always responds to issues promptly.

Codal is despicable. We commissioned them to redesign and rebuild our website nearly two years go. We paid up front per their request. They have not delivered a completed website to this date. Initially they delivered a few redesigns, before starting to ignore our requests to meet and eventually ceasing to respond to any emails. Avoid Codal at all costs.

Before getting in to my own experience, I feel it is important to verify what others are saying about the fake 5-star reviews. Yes; most of these are planted by Codal to push negative feedback out of view and manipulate their rating. In addition to being laughably generic, someone else already pointed out that these are largely coming from faceless private accounts that don’t allow you to see their other reviews.I can also confirm that they’re also having employees flood their reviews with 5-stars. If you scroll down you’ll see reviews from Yona G. and Jenna E. These are the employees I interviewed with in my account below. They conveniently left their association with the company out.——————-I interviewed here years ago when I was just getting started in my former career as a technical writer. Two phone interviews (one with Yona and Jenna as mentioned above, and a shorter one with Matt) and they had me do a write-up on MongoDB. Spent a full day on-site as the final stage of the interviewing process, at the end of which they extended a verbal offer and said they’d send the formal offer by email.I didn’t hear from them for over a week so I called to speak to Jenna. They hung up when I told them who was calling and why. About a week later, they finally emailed me back to say that they wouldn’t be moving forward with me as a candidate and had the audacity to ask if they could use the article I had written without indicating that they planned to compensate me for it. I told them they couldn’t use it for free and they came back with an amount that was less than the cost of getting to and from the interview.So. To reiterate what is being stated in the non-fake reviews, Codal is either intentionally deceptive or they just don’t have their situation together - probably both to a degree. Don’t work with them as a client and don’t waste your time as a job-seeker.

Terrible place full of con artists, and obviously paid for all of these fake 5 star reviews from restricted accounts that don’t show what else they’re reviewed. They don’t even have enough business to generate that many reviews.

The app we have developed with Codal has exceeded our expectations as well as those of our customers. We are delighted with the technological advances and user experience of the app. All use cases have been thought through and implemented in well-structured manner. Codal acted as a partner and not just a vendor to bring our idea to life. We are looking to outsource more work to Codal and build a long term relationship with their team.

I have been working with Codal for about 8 months now and have never had a bad experience with them. The team is always happy to go above and beyond to get the job done to the best possible quality. Codal is a great place to work.People around you are very knowledgable and it will help you in improving your skill set and being more productive.You get to work on latest technology and get hands on experience on Cloud Services. (AWS Lambda, EMR, Glue Spark etc)Good ideas are appreciated from anyone and it doesn't matter who is bringing them on table. (intern or a senior manager)

My company chose Codal to develop a complicated B2B online platform and mobile application. They provide all the services and expertise of a larger development firm but resourced in a smaller budget-conscious way. What set them apart for us was their understanding of the challenges of a startup company. They have been a joy to work with - very responsive, fair and committed to our success. Their understanding of cloud based solutions and how best to leverage existing technologies has been very valuable to us. I would highly recommend the team at Codal.

Matthew and Keval were hired by my company to develop a calendar app. We paid them the 50% downpayment but we never received the finished product. We asked them for a refund and they agreed but after 18 months they have kept our money and do not respond to calls and emails. We are out thousands of dollars and have no app.
