Unprofessional and the customer service is terrible. I opened an account with Citibank and I waited three and a half weeks before receiving the checks. Also, the information on the checks were incorrect. I kept them because I didn't want to wait another 25 days for my checks to be corrected.

I loved this bank when I first opened my account 20 years ago, but changes in the last few years have really impacted the customer experience greatly. 1) Its hard to find other branches in Chicago and they seem to keep closing them, 2) Mistakes with hollow apologies - about a year ago they assessed monthly charges to my account (for about a year) even though I met the monthly minimum. Branch said they couldn't do anything. I had to google to find a special customer service team that actually responded to customer complaints and 3) Mistakenly frozen bank account - really no recourse possible, no one who can help. Pathetic. I would consider new banks that are able to transform to new customer needs (e.g. Chime)

One customer service rep was amazing, another not so much. One displayed a willingness to count my coins to deposit as I'm leaving the country. Another was not as amazing and didn't want to count coins the next time I came in. The fact that a bank doesn't have a coin counting machine is ridiculous. Clearly, discriminating against those with less money. Discourages children from saving coins if they can't even have it counted by staff.

I chose this Location due to Review Ratings. Guarantee of Good Service is NOT based on location anymore, but the type of Manager on location. EXCELLENT Customer Service as expected with a heart to develop a long-term relationship. (5-stars!) RATING based on Citibank's Banking Practices -- unable to get $$ out due to Flagged/Frozen Acct from Driver's License address issues, YET the Frozen Account is ACCEPTING auto-deposit from a US Employer. What does that sound to you? It's a form of Money Hold or delayed Fund Clearance/Use of Funds. In General, Citibank is: (1) helpful, (2) slow, (3) automatic stuff gets forgotten, like permanent ATM card wasn't issued before temporary card expired that leads to inability of online access, (4) online access is heavy on ATM card no even though already setup when account was opened, (5) App keeps asking previously entered info, (6) emailed Citibank message is ONLY accessible via Online Account Log-in, (7) repetitive. Too much security CAN hurt a business. NOT KNOWING what to ask for to keep things working causes unnecessary delays, fees, hinder in life, headache, tasks, etc. Citibank is passively High Maintenance! [in a world of automatics and efficiency]. NOTE, DL address is acceptable with Chase and Capital One. ACCOUNT CLOSED. Telephone Banker says: "In order to close your account, your balance must be $0. Since you have a balance, you need to go to the nearest branch." It's official, Citibank has Attention Deficit Disorder!

This location's customer service is a joke. I had an appointment and have been waiting for 20 minutes and listening to a banker who I had an appointment with talking to someone on a phone about her criticism of a PowerPoint presentation covering customer service training. Talking about irony, blowing off a customer to work on a presentation about good customer service. I left.
