1716 W Lunt Ave, Chicago“Anyone wanting to be truly reunited with their relationship with God will be totally welcomed and nurtured. The priests are devoted and genuinely are concerned for your salvation. Parishioners are friendly.”
“I, like many others before me, sought this specific church out because of the Jim Butcher Dresden Files books. It's undergoing restoration but even with that, it's gorgeous. The whole area is also peaceful; truly a house of God with an energy to it that envelopes you in comfort and peace. There aren't many places I've been to where the energy and vibe make me feel like everything will be ok. This is definitely one of those places.I did zoom in on the angels up top, just to make sure they weren't weeping angels from Doctor Who. This is definitely the kind of place you can imagine an Angel talking to someone in.Being Catholic, a lover of architecture of this nature in general, and a fan of Harry Dresden, I would totally receive communion here every week if it weren't so far away from where I live. The inside is even more beautiful than I had imagined. I didn't get permission to take pictures inside, so I didn't take any. It's definitely worth the time to go see it and feel the peace for yourself.BONUS: Pequods pizza is right over there ? from here. ?”

5136 N Nottingham Ave, Chicago“As a family, we like going to mass here. My kids have been attending the Religious Education program for many years. My youngest has been there since Kindergarten. Yes, they offer R.E. for Kindergarteners. Even after receiving the sacrament of First Communion, they offer continuing R.E. classes up to and including confirmation. Many parishes that I know of only offer the preparation for First Communion and preparation for Confirmation but nothing in between those spiritual and faith formative years.”
“Best food pantry. They make sure people have enough food to last for two weeks. However, there is no waiting area, people standing outside in cold, hot, rain and snow. The lines are very long. They don't give people numbers while wait. Bring a chair to sit down and a cart to shop. The security guard is very helpful.”
“God always bless the pastoral family
And each of the members of Casa de Misericordia
This is a Church of blessing
I recommend them with all my heart.”
“This is a church for the hurting. God loves you so much! The church is welcoming and everyone is very nice. No one is judging anyone there. They welcome everyone with open arms!! I highly recommend for everyone to come and join us!! Blessings to you and your family!!!”
“It’s because of my teachers here I became a teacher; I made lifelong friends, and couldn’t imagine what my life would be like today had I not gone there. Praying and hoping the best for SMOW and it’s community today (:”
“This church is currently under construction both on the outside and inside. It was only the beginning of summer when we visited, but things got warm. So while you want to keep yourself covered at church, make sure your layers are very lightweight.”
“I came here for a month before I moved, and everyone was so wonderful. I cannot recommend this church enough. The music was incredible, and Reverend James Parker is the absolute best, most inspirational pastor!”
“I wanted to see the synagogue and experience the community without intruding, and the Loop Synagogue was very welcoming. I would recommend anybody interested in the culture or religion to pay this place a visit.”
“I first visited 2U for a nonprofit fundraiser and was stunned by the beauty of the building. It wasn't until last year that I began attending services and became a member. The congregation is extremely welcoming. No matter whether you believe in God some of the time, all of the time, or none of the time, you are welcome. No matter your race, who you love, or how much money is in your pocket, you are welcome.
I was jaded about religion and still feel it's weird to say I go to church, but I've found a welcoming religious community here.”
“This is one of the Deeper life bible church location churches in Chicago. In addition, it serves as the regional headquarters. The environment is warm, welcoming, and filled with God's presence. It's a really beautiful place to be, most importantly to hear the undiluted word of God.”

“My kids attend St Eugene School and I couldn’t be happier with the experience we are having !! As an alumni and parishioner my kids are enjoying going to school, their speech is improving and we truly love the community and environment.”
“It's so sad to read so many negative comments, just because some people don't want to submit to God's word you put this church and the Pastors down.Thank you Lord for this beautiful church where I learned to Love, respect and honor you.Thank you Pastor Angel and Ruthy Mecardo for loving me and my sons, today we praise God together because of the teaching of God's word in Rebano Church.”
“It was a very spiritual, peaceful and beautiful experience to be a part of the Sunday evening Kirtan. The Satvik vegetarian dinner was delicious and felt like a feast as all devotees sat down together for this, and it is free every Sunday evening. They also have a small parking lot at the end of the alley. A must visit and highly recommended place, especially for believers of Sanatan and South Asians.”
