I’m not really sure who this pawn shop is for…. I like going into pawn shops around Chicago to try and find good deals but this was not the place for that… Half the inventory didn’t even have a price tag on it. A good amount was at the bottom of stacks of boxes. Not to mention the prices are insane; if I had $500 to spend on a belt I wouldn’t be buying it at a pawn shop…

Chicago Super Pawn is one of the better pawn shops to go to in Chicago . Wally is a fair guy and I never worry about pawning my valuables there. Of course they want to get their payments, just like any business would ,but they are not in the business of trying to steal your pawned items from you the minute your contract expires unlike other shops hope to . They were really good with me when I was hospitalized for a month and I was unable to get there .Wally worked with me being that it was a legitimate emergency. Also another good thing is that you can use your credit card to make your payment if you are out of town , have transportation issues or if it is just more convenient for you. I wouldn’t hesitate in using their services and I give them a big thumbs up .?

Helped me get rid of a violin I have, although I didn’t get the price I wanted I understand it’s a pawn shop. The 3 gentleman in there were professional and friendly which goes a long way. There’s also some interesting stuff in here. Not the typical doughy pawn shop vibe you get at some other places.

Absolutely great pawn shop. The employees have helped me out in a pinch and the prices are more than fair, they pay better than their corporate competitors in the area (almost 20% more) and were very honest and fair with jewelry pricing. Will be coming back to this shop for all my needs.

Great services. Even better people!I was in a bind and brought in an item to pawn so I could get a quick loan. I was given the loan amount that I requested and the process was simple, painless, and swift, as I was out the door with cash-in-hand within 15 minutes.But what really stood out in my experience was the courtesy I received. When they were paying out my loan for the item I pawned I requested change for one a larger bill because I needed some $1 dollar bills for my bus fare to get back home, which I explained. However, I was completely surprised when they provided me with a 7-Day CTA bus pass for FREE in addition to my change! (These transit passes are $20, which is almost the same $ amount of the incurred interest fee for my loan so they basically aren’t making any real profit on my loan as I’ll be returning to pay back and pick up my item).Given that this loan interest fee is essentially how these kind of businesses make money (at least on the pawning side of the business), this unwarranted kind gesture speaks volumes about Chicago Super Pawn and the kind of people that work here. I definitely recommend this business!
