Interesting stop. Crowded like an LA fabric district store, but without the fabric district's low prices. Priced more like a typical fabric store. Amazing what the very kind owner has fit into small shop. Some items appeared in poor condition due to age or cleanliness (esp ribbons/trim), but overall great, varied stock. Drawbacks aside, worth a trip as this shop will likely have what you need, and the owner will make it a joy. It's shops like this that keep Chicago's character interesting.... thank you!!

I've followed this shop each time it moved. Yes, it is crowded inside to the point where you can barely move, but I've found items that I have not seen elsewhere! From fabric clips to exotic fabrics to not-seen-before ribbon.

This is a small fabric store in Chicago's Loop. It's chokefull of fabrics (all kinds) from everyday to fancy as well as all is needed to craft your designs. The only fabric store in the area. This site is close to several schools in the downtown area, which I'm sure it's handy for all young people studying design. It's not big. It's cramped, but the owner is willing to help. He's friendly, and can help you find exactly what you need. Accessible on all kinds of public transportation. Close to student dorms in the loop.

Fantastic fabric store – the person working here had some wonderful recs for best fabrics to keep the light out of my attic room/sun window that was making spending time in there untenable on hot days. From a million different fabrics, He recommended a leatherette material that would fully keep out the sun – and it’s working great so far. Don’t go to michaels/joann - support a small business! :)

While the location being small wasn’t a problem the quantity of items shoved into it was. Could barely walk much less actually look for anything and had I liked anything there was no way for it to be pulled out. Very unorganized. Also the bolt of fabric looked like they had been there for decades

Highly recommend this shop. You do have to dig, but it’s very much worth it—you will find some real treasures in here. This is my second time visiting this store, but I love it. Owner is very kind and engaging with customers.

Okay...you have to go here for everything you need to sew! I'm just starting to take sewing classes and, although this place is literally filled to the guild with fabric and is totally overwhelming, the man who runs the place is amazing and will help you with any question you might have!
