Wonderful staff..unfortunately underfunded because the building, both inside and out, needs some love! They’re fantastic at pairing the perfect dogs to their new owners and we love their temporary foster system. They are a godsend to the community and to all of the animals :)

Chicago Canine Rescue is such an excellent place! The work they do for shelter dogs is unbelievable. Nicole, Abby, & Maya are true angels with their four-legged clientele. Make sure you fill out all the necessary online paperwork before attempting to ring that door bell. They are very protective of their doggies and just don’t let anyone in to meet them. Plus, some dogs are in foster care, meaning they will need to go to the facility. Truly, it is a great place!

Highly Professional, Heart Warming Dogs, WONDERFUL EXPERIENCEThe Chicago Canine Rescue provided the most amazing foster parents, and most enriching experience, and truly greatest blessing in sweet beloved baby girl. We didn’t rescue our loving dog, she rescued us. LOVE THEM.

We adopted our dog from here & everyone was so helpful, polite & transparent throughout the entire process. I could tell they really took great care of our pooch while in their care.

We got our beautiful and fabulous rescue Lacey from Chicago canine rescue. I can tell they really care about their pups! they leave you with a lot of great resources so you're not just suddenly at home wondering 'what have I done??!' ;) Thanks to Chicago canine rescue our house is now home!

Make sure you make an appointment or they won't let you in. It is not listed on their website, so I went there and was turned away even though they were open.

Within a few blocks’ radius of this rescue you always see violent breed dogs being walked by volunteers who can barely keep control of them. Disaster waiting to happen especially with a playground nearby.

I volunteered here recently and I had amazing experience walking cute dogs. Everyone who works there are friendly and caring not just too us but the dogs as well. I will definitely continue to help and support this dog shelter whenever I'm available.

I got a 5-month old puppy from them 10yrs. ago, and she is still a happy, loving, healthy dog. If I ever want another dog, I definitely will go there 1st.
