I love central city management!!! Shawn & Dan are great and always helpful/responsive.
I have lived at 3330 N Lake Shore building for about 2 years now in a studio unit. I have been looking to move into a 1 bedroom and figured I love the building, management, and location so might as well see if they have any available 1 bedrooms in my building.
I was lucky to find out there was a beautiful 1 bedroom unit available in my current building with a gorgeous view of Belmont Harbor, Lake Michigan, and Navy Pier (from a distance, but still enough to see the firework shows!).
I have never had any serious maintenance issues and any minor ones were answered to immediately.
I have had poor property management / landlords in the past and am so appreciative of how easy CCM is to work with. If you need an apartment in Chicago, I would highly recommend to check out any of CCM properties.

Morrie and the company are very easy to work with, the area was so nice, and the apartment was clean and ready for move in the day we got there! My husband and I have lived with this management company for over 4 years and can recommend!

Loved living at 10 W Elm! The location is unmatched and the apartments are beautifully-kept with vintage details. I moved in by myself and always felt safe (shoutout to Carlos and the other doormen) despite some of the craziness on Division. Highly recommend.

I, Allonzo Murríel Perez, without reservation recommend Morrie Liebling and Central City Management. As a tenant from September 2021 to December 2022 at the Lake Shore Drive property, I have experienced a well-run management company: they responded to phone calls and e-mails when I had questions and issues. In addition, they maintained a clean lobby and laundry room. If I end up back in Chicago, I would gladly rent a room from them again.

My apt was robbed when I lived there and I was on one of the top floors. Inside job (employee) although the property manager insisted it wasn't. Maintenance had universal keys for all apts.

Too many good things to say about this company and the apartment I had rented from them in Wrigley. The best apartment I’d ever lived in!Shawn and Morrie were always quick to respond, and anytime we had maintenance requests they were always there within 24hrs. Highly recommended.

Not worth it, find something better.I was paying $1295/mo for a 1bed on Cornelia Ave, I see they're now renting it for $1445.The owner, Morrie, won't take any of your requests seriously, no matter how much you try to work with him, or how reasonable you try to be. He'll weasel out of any responsibility and try to gaslight you. He makes you move in through the back stairwell, which is a real safety hazard. And...let's just say he probably won't rent to you unless you're light-skinned.Centipede infestation was terrible, and management did not care to do anything without a lot of prompting (even then it was temporary measures, not something that would actually fix the issue). There was a literal pile of dirt in the basement, so not the type of place to care about the building beyond surface appearances.Floors were beyond squeaky - you could step anywhere and it would make a sound, I felt so bad for our downstairs neighbor, but there was nothing we could do to avoid it.No insulation between the floors, you'll be able to hear your neighbors voice/TV/music unless they keep it at a super reasonable volume.Bathroom didn't have a fan, so moisture would build up fast. Shower would randomly back up when not in use, probably due to very old piping.Windows were so old they would rattle like crazy when it was windy.Maintenance team was awesome and so helpful.

I lived at 10 W Elm twice, for a total of 5 years. The location is unbeatable, and the apartments are well-maintained, spacious, smartly laid out, at a great price. I loved the vintage character of both of my units - coved ceilings, crown and picture frame molding, French doors.Building owner, Morrie, and property manager, Shawn, were both always very responsive and great to deal with. The downsides: no parking garage associated with the building, units facing into courtyard are somewhat dark and can get noise from dumpsters and grease pickup, some street noise for units facing out.FYI - the building is pet-free.

10 W Elm apartments landlord spoke to me & my family so negatively over the phone like we can’t live & afford the area. Think he racially profile other kind of races thats not white. He lost our respect & can get his money from another family.

I was super excited about the units in this building because of price and location, but I was screamed at on the phone by management. I decided not to sign with this company because of how disrespectful one staff member was to me. I have never had such a negative customer service experience.

I've been with them two years now (Elm St) and am very happy. It's a beautiful building, and kept in excellent repair. It's an old building, so there are issues sometimes; elevators break, etc. And yes, that's annoying. But the management response is always fast and thorough. And when I've needed something special, they have always been gracious. Having a bright, spacious, and not-too-overpriced apartment in the Gold Coast has been worth any inconvenience.

I lived at a unit on Cornelia/Paulina for five years. The building and unit is well maintained for an older building. I had minimal issues but the few times I needed something it was handled urgently. Definitely would recommend.
