It is 10 a.m. Monday morning. The cashier told me they only take HP laptops, even though I have pawned a laptop here before, so I know it's not true. I think the guy in front is racist. Please be aware! My computer is brand-new, and so is the doorbell camera I tried to pawn.

Place is horrible and they false advertise. I tried to sell a silver ring with the worth of 400 dollars, and of course I wasn't expecting full price upon selling but the clerk wanted to give me only 20 dollars because it was "silver". The next time I visited the establishment I tried to sell the ring again but then they said that they dont take silver at all. You should take the sign down off of the side of yourbuilding that says you take silver products. I will never visit again, will not be lowballed by anyone.

CBJ is a minority owned business that has been and is, truly an asset to the Bronzeville community, and is a business that is greatly needed, during my battle with years of going in and out of the hospital from respiratory failure from an unknown gluten allergy, and life support ( ten times ) i couldn't w8, and CBJ was there! and during my battle with prostate cancer, surgery and radiation treatments, the guys at CBJ were there, and understanding and greatly helpful, especially when I was flat broke hungry, or needing food for my pets, medication costs, phone bill, etc, or if I just needed to come up with quick cash, and above of all, they've always been respectful to all who come through those doors looking for help, I've watched many times, and they've never been disrespectful to black people or anyone else who's came in, unlike some of the other pawnshops in the area, ( where I've worked) the guys at CBJ were by my side during the hardest time in my life, losing my immediate family, health issues, legal problems, paying bills, helping my kids, and they've been greatly helpful for good things, luke when my kids need money, preparing for tours etc, and I can honestly say that they went and go, above and beyond their call of duty, and the main thing is no one can say that they've not been treated with respect by the guys at CBJ, being a Chicago bluesman, and unable to work, I couldn't have made this far without CBJ, they're truly like family, and they truly have the lowest rates in town, unlike many pawnshops in the area, that cheat the community and steal from people, the guys at CBJ aren't like that, I guess being in an oppressed minority themselves, they've suffered from the same problems, unlike some of the other pawnshops in the area, these guys fully understand what hard times are for you, and these gentlemen are honest, trustworthy and truly try to be of help, and I personally would say CBJ is one of of Bronzevilles most greatly needed businesses and assets to the people of our community and the nearby areas, who might be enduring financial/health issues etc, I hope that this undirected energy that is destroying or neighborhood, can be soon redirected on the real issue, which is seeking true justice, and having the killer or so called bad apple police, charged the same as anyone else who commits a murder, but without a doubt, destroying our own neighborhood and our stores are not the answer, when it's over we won't have anything at all! We greatly need this minority owned and honest pawnshop, in our neighborhood, its truly the only good one in Bronzeville, and I pray all is cool, stays cool and that my brothers at CBJ, stay under the Lords protection, my love and prayers are with you, Stay blessed. Tried to pawn a Movado watch and they offered $30. Looked down and saw the same watch with a 500 pricetag. Asked how much he wanted for it and said 250. Yet only offered 30 for the same watch. I only wanted 100.

Said that they don't take take printers, but there was a few for sale on display. This is why I don't deal with pawn shops!
