My family has been going to Burdeen's for years and years. My dad bought my mom's engagement ring from Burdeen's and I knew I wanted to go to Burdeen's to look for my own engagement ring! I worked with Irina to create a custom design for me and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Irina is so amazing, knowledgeable, and experienced, especially when it comes to engagement rings! She has the most incredible attention to detail. She remembered every single inspo picture I showed her and every detail I described to her when talking about my dream ring. She sourced the most beautiful oval diamond for me and when she finally showed me the drawing of the custom band, it was everything I wanted and more! Irina just knew exactly what I wanted by being the best listener and caring so much about the process. She made all of my engagement ring dreams come true! If you're looking for your dream ring or diamond, Irina is the BEST!

The folks here are great! I stopped by to look at some Grand Seikos and everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. I could definitely tell they were some real watch geeks, we had some good conversation. And their pre-owned Lange selection is way more to look at than the Lange boutique had on hand! Great place.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon to get my Longines Aquaconquest band/bracelet resized and to remove a link after receiving it as a gift not too long ago. I was greeted by an extremely friendly client advisor, Patrick Duffy. Patrick was extremely helpful with the issue I had. Not only was he persistent on helping me even though the shop didn’t necessarily have the required Longines tools, but he was also very fast, accurate and effective with the resizing. He even made sure to let me try it on a couple of times to make sure I had the perfect fit. After he finished, the watch fit like a glove with not a spec of damage, you could see it was resized by a professional. All in all, I had a perfect experience in the shop, meeting one of the most friendly client advisers, Patrick Duffy, and spending a pleasant few minutes in a friendly atmosphere in a modern, clean, and well decorated shop. Will be sure to come back to both Patrick and the shop again if my bracelet needs to be resized once more, or if I wish to purchase another luxury watch.Thank you for a such a pleasant experience

What an amazing jewelry store! I’m from Colorado and came to Burdeen’s Jewlrey while in Chicago for a weekend trip. I stopped by here to get a link added to my Grand Seiko and was blown away by the top notch service and modern atmosphere.James was the advisor that helped me out and he’s the best! I can’t say enough what a great experience it was and I’d highly recommend this jeweler.

I stopped by because I was in the area. Ashley was very helpful and generous with her time as we discussed what they had in stock. To see a Grand Seiko boutique, along with pre-owned Patek and Lange, for example, was a tremendous experience. Great selection and great customer service!

Fixed up appointment and went into store 06/21/2021. There was a Sepia brown complete calendar listed on website for around 36k. When appointment was fixed there was a confusion and I walked into the Buffalo Grove store. I came to know that the appointment was in Michigan st...just 40 miles away downtown. Parked in Hancock center and walked into the store.... only to be told that the cost was 40.5k for the watch. I pointed out the discrepancy in their website. I was refused and I just left disappointed. I guess there was some sensible manager up the chain- they called me on my way back and honored the pricing. They also dropped the watch in my house. I am happy to have bought the watch. But, the sales event was botched, my experience was in the dumps. I have bought Pateks, Audemar and Rolex in the past.... This was comparably the worst buying experience. If not for some sensible person up the chain- I probably would have told all my friends or family to never set foot in Burdeen again. They realized their fault and have tried to do better. Hopefully their service will improve and I get to change my mind completely.EDIT: My experience today was great. Aaron the boutique director was great. Bought a UN Cape Horn and it was a great experience this time.

Brought a brand new Grand Seiko for resizing and Patrick worked on it. The bracelet completely fell apart due to incorrect reassembly of the links (red flag #1). Luckily that happened when I got home and the watch landed on my bed. Mistakes happen was my thought at the time and since no harm was done I originally rated this place 5 stars since they did not charge me for the work and were friendly at the time. A couple of weeks ago I brought a friend to Burdeen's since he was on the market for his first luxury watch. As we were about to ring the bell to be let in, Patrick was escorting another customer out and we stepped aside to make way before we go in. Right as we were about to step in, Patrick slammed the door in front of our faces pretending that he didn't see us (red flag #2). Both of us were in shock with what just happened. Another client advisor poked Patrick to go back and open the door. A third client advisor came and asked us what we were interested in and we let him know that my friend would like to try on some Grand Seikos. We went to the Grand Seiko area and the client advisor immediately took his mask off and suggested that we do the same since they "have all been vaccinated" (ref flag #3 if you are immunocompromised). Later on he proceeded to show us watches and he pointed out that one of those was a limited edition Grand Seiko. I asked him what the quantity was and then I asked if it was 2000 pieces total and he started making fun of me (red flag #4) that Grand Seiko makes only 30-35000 pieces a year and no way in the world they can dedicate 2000 pieces to 1 limited edition watch only. If he knew his watches, he would have not made such an ignorant remark to try to belittle me. One example is SLGA007 which is a limited edition watch that is being released in a quantity of 2021 pieces (which does not mean that they will all be produced in the same year). He was also not aware that GS makes exclusive models for the US market only.For all the above reasons I'm changing my review from 5 stars to 1. Avoid at all cost!P.S. my friend did not make a purchase with Burdeen's because of this experience and ended up buying his first luxury watch from another AD.

My client advisor, James, was highly knowledgeable about the watch industry and personable. They also have a nice selection of pre-owned. I will be looking to buy here and work with James when the time comes to purchase a high-end watch.

This is their third location. The original is in Buffalo Grove which I haven't been to 'cause I don't get out that way often and Panerai which is in The Waldorf Astoria which I've been to. This is ran by second generation of the Burdeen's. They do jewelry appraisals, jewelry and watch repair and jewelry financing.

Seth was fantastic to work with and I highly recommend him! I'm from Chicago originally, but have been living out-of-state and wanted to support the store after a few enjoyable visits to see their wide Grand Seiko selection. Seth was able to help me over the phone, even texting me several photos of the watch and generously offering to ship the watch out to me!I can't wait to return to Burdeen's when I'm back in town and continue working with Seth on future occasions. But first, time to start saving up again...
