This review is quite overdue - but I wanted to make sure I didn't spare a detail in how wonderful our experience with Bucktown Music's Kindermusik classes has been. Our 2-year old son’s favorite days of the week are the days he gets to go to his Kindermusik classes at Bucktown Music. Since he was an infant, he has been going to Ms. Patty’s classes, and not only enjoying the fun music and open space to dance around, but also learning important skills around listening, taking turns, sharing, and socializing with other kids.
The classes are small and intimate, the perfect size for little ones who get easily overwhelmed in large group settings. Each day’s class is different, with new songs and time to explore new instruments and movement. We have never had an issue with getting into the classes we want, and any emails to the office receive very swift responses. After registering for an initial session for your child’s age group and preferred day of the week, you can easily register for additional “bonus” classes where there are open spots available. We typically end up sending my son with our nanny to class twice a week, which is a great value for what we pay monthly.
Now onto the most important piece of the equation: Ms. Patty herself. Patty has a beautiful voice, and is simply a lovely person with a very special gift for working with children. Our son, Cooper, has grown very attached to her and loves to follow along with her songs, stories, and instruction in class. He's always choosing to sit in her lap, dance with her, and sit front and center during story time. Thanks to the constant stream of photos and videos our nanny shares with us, we get the chance to see how close their bond has become, and it is truly heartwarming to see.
We highly recommend Bucktown Music and would encourage any family with babies and young children to check out the Kindermusik classes, and the magic that is Ms. Patty.

Highly recommend Bucktown Music - specifically the Kindermusik program! My daughter absolutely loves going to music class with Ms. Patty every single week. She's been going since she was 5-6 months old. They take such good care of our daughter and she is learning a ton. Thank you Bucktown Music!!

We love the Kindermusik program at Bucktown music. I started taking my daughter 3 years ago when she was 6 months old and now our 18 month old son is enrolled as well. The class is so engaging for little ones and has shaped our kids' continued interest in music. Patty is such a warm and energetic teacher - we're so grateful!

Bucktown Music is the BEST! Patty is such an amazing teacher. My son started there when he was 8 months old until we moved at 15 months. If your child is at home, definitely check it out. Love them!

My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves Bucktown Music and Ms. Patty! She is excited to go each week to music class. Ms. Patty makes the classes so engaging for her students. She does a theme every week and has a variety of songs, instruments, and stories. We couldn't recommend Bucktown Music or Ms. Patty more! I feel lucky to go to such a welcoming, fun, and musical place each week!

We have been attending classes here for about a year and a half, and have nothing but great things to say about it. It has been a joyful experience that we look forward to every week. The teachers and staff are incredible. Most importantly, the kids LOVE it, and it's such a delight for parents/caregivers to see these little cuties grab an instrument, sing, dance, and just discover the joys of music. We also appreciate the ease of scheduling a makeup or bonus class as needed. Grateful to have Bucktown Music in the neighborhood!

Bucktown music is an incredible music class! Our little one has been going since she was 3 months old and is now 1+. It is not your basic music class - not some teacher strumming the guitar singing you their version of the itsy bitsy spider. The class is focused on singing, moving, playing and the children are challenged to do new things every week. Our little one has learned so much from her time at Bucktown Music and I cannot recommend this group enough! We plan to go for as long as we can!

We’ve been going to Kindermusik for over 2 years now, since my youngest was 5 months old. I cannot say enough good things about this program and especially Miss Patty, whom we’ve had for the majority of our classes there.
There’s a great balance in fostering routine and familiarity and introducing new songs, books, and instruments. Perhaps the most rewarding aspect is seeing the growth in my son over the last 2 years.
Most recently we’ve been attending the mixed age class with my 2.5 year old and 4 month old, which is a really great sibling option.
Finally Miss Patty is amazing. She always brings an upbeat and cheery energy to class and shows patience and grace to even the most challenging children.
If you have any doubts about starting this program, don’t- it’s so worth it!

Highly recommend Bucktown Music as an engaging and fun activity for young children and caregivers/parents. The teachers are talented musicians, so it is a treat getting to participate in the class. The teachers create a nice class community for all, so it is also a great way to connect with other children and families.

I have been taking my nanny kids to Bucktown Music Kindermusik classes for more than two years now, and the experience has been downright divine. Miss Patty in particular is one of the warmest, friendliest, most fun people I’ve ever had the pleasure to know, and I know the kids feel the same! I am so grateful for the patience and care she brings to class. She not only instructs the children but interprets these instructions for the adults in the room to help us better understand the music education the children are receiving. She clearly has so much respect for the children as well as the adults, and a deep love for music that permeates everything. The toddler in my care has truly blossomed over the time he’s been attending Kindermusik classes. I credit Miss Patty and the Kindermusik curriculum for so much of not only his musical growth but his vocabulary skill, social skills, and early math and writing skills. I am so sad that my job is coming to an end for many reasons, but one of the things I will miss most is the joy of Kindermusik!

We have LOVED Kindermusik for 2 years now! The entire staff is so warm and welcoming! I have learned so many tips and tricks to help me be the best, patient and most thoughtful parent I can be. These classes really helped my shy daughter open up and taught her so many life skills! 12/10 would recommend!!
