Lovely store with great products and a wonderful staff!
I don't usually wear makeup because of skin and eye sensitivities, but I have some big events coming up that I wanted to get some products for. Pamela took her time choosing sensitive products and applying an entire makeup look on me, and she really listened to my requests for a more natural look. She adjusted it whenever I asked, and gave me application tips along the way - basically a mini-makeup lesson. I looked amazing walking out of there and got many great new products (and free samples she threw in).
Can't recommend this place enough!

So what is going on at Blue Mercury that has made service plummet the past 3 months? (Bad tone at the top, no more commission, etc?) I shop here often and had always been super satisfied with the service and the management of this specific location (which ironically, I don’t believe has changed). The sales representatives used to be friendly and eager to help. Now you get blank stares, snarky remarks, and even better, the rep trying to give you the wrong product. Nice try, I read the packaging before I put my card down. . .
Really disappointing. Maybe it’s a wicker park issue?

This used to be my go-to place for skin care products, but it's gone down hill over the last few years after Robin left. Today was the worst, and likely my last, encounter there. The store was empty and I asked for help finding a concealer. I told the girl what my foundation color is. She directed me to one product display, then gave me the box of Qtips and tissue to figure out what color I wanted on my own. It's no wonder this store is empty all the time. You lost another customer.

I just shopped here and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. The first woman who helped me shade match stuck her brush that she dipped into the tester concealer so close to my eye when I asked her to shade match me. The second woman was so cold and rude when I asked questions about products and I couldn't even comfortably browse because of the negative energy in the store. I have never experienced this in Sephora or Ulta where I usually browse for as long as I want and get all the help I need. Terrible experience.

I went to the wicker park location to pick up my concealer, clearly stated the shade and what I needed and the girl sold me a concealer brush. By the time I realized it was too late, the store was closed and I am leaving early in the morning for a work trip. Completely absented minded and wasn’t paying attention at all.

Meandered over here after an uncomfortable experience at Credo. Yikes. Friday at lunchtime, store was barren of any customers. There was an icy brunette standing guard. She stared at me the whole time. Not in a friendly way. How are they staying in business? This store must be window dressing.

I'm getting married in 2 weeks and needed some basics for doing my own make up. I've been to SO many different stores for this purpose and always left feeling judged after saying I was doing my own wedding makeup. Today, Katherine walked me through step-by-step some amazing recommendations and tips for applying make up for special occasions. She made the experience so relaxing and informative AND I walked away wearing makeup that made me feel like the best version of myself. Thank you, Katherine! Gigi is also super helpful and wonderful. Great store. I'll be back for all of my beauty needs.

gigi was such a wonderful person to be around. and she listened to me and what i needed. i am more than happy with the knowledge and service of gigi. she was such a positive light that made me feel great with or without makeup. but i ended up buying her recommendations as she showed me how to work with my unique features and made me feel beautiful. my esthetician recommended this place. and i see why! thank you gigi for making me feel beautiful!

the male that works at this location was extremely rude and told me this is a luxury store when I asked if he had any recommendations besides the $100 moisturizer shown to me (yes just one option shown) also I have given loads of my money to blue mercury in general....don't give me that BS. so rude. Do better.

Wife went to this location for makeup application. Essentially everything she had asked for was not done. It was communicated on several occasions what she had desired but adjustments were not made. When my wife got home she washed all of the makeup off.

I have shopped at this location for years and historically have purchased most of my skincare products here. I went into the store yesterday to make some purchases using Bluemercury rewards. The sales associate said the card was invalid. When I asked if he could call to get corporate assistance he was rude and said no one could help. I proceeded home and used the card online with no issues at all. I will make my skincare purchases elsewhere going forward.
