This bank isn’t what it used to be, so many awesome bankers left and there were barely any people working when I came in, it felt kind of dead in there with no staff.But Erick is wonderful. 5/5 stars for him.

Terrible experience. Went in for a simple wire transfer. Everything seemed to be ok. I paid the fee and left, assuming everything was processed as promised. Then I get a call 20 minutes later asking me to return to the bank to verify my signature. My own signature! There was absolutely no common sense applied to this situation.

My home loan from Lasalle Bank now Bank of America became a reality when they merged. I attempted to refinance my home about 10 years ago and most lenders would not touch a bank financed loan. Bank of America was sued for failing to process refinance loans around 2011, stalling paperwork, and the usual underhanded stuff struggling home owners never know when the flexible rate mortgage interest exploded into a nightmare for many. I had a fixed rate thank God! As a result they were forced to offer me a refinance with no fees at a lower interest rate. When I got the papers I then read the class action suit on line. It was a tight timeline to gather my papers, my husband now passed and get them in. They did not leave me much time to take their reply to a bank to get them processed and in the system. It was winter here...I took time off work to go to a downtown location on Lasalle 203 I think....upon which they told me I needed to have the papers they just gave me notarized and they had no notary there. Amazing....I was told I could just go over there (pointing in the storm) two blocks to another bank and get them notarized and bring them back and they would mail them. I was in shock. I said no....you give me mailing address..I will get notarized and I will Fed EX as we are on a time line. Knowing the law suit I already felt mistrusting. Once it was all finalized they would start calling me on the 2nd day of the month harassing me I would be sent to collections. We all know you have a grace period on mortgages and I was still struggling with money back then and would not have been late. But I got it together so I would always pay on the 1st. Now when I have an a high credit score you see the offers in the mail for opening accounts but I shred them, I get a chill thinking about Bank Of America practices and how poorly the average Joe is treated who is still struggling today. Thank God my loan was sold in good standing to a great lender as they can do and no more issues. Be wary of the big boys in banking. I would never recommend them.
