I dropped off my car for a brake job and Ed really took care of me. The price was fair, fast service and Ed is a gem to work with. I found my new mechanic.

As a woman bringing a car in solo, I highly recommend this place. As others have mention Ed is honest, straight forward, and does great repair work. In the past, I’ve had men in auto shops speak to me like I was an idiot, here I feel my business and time are valued. Ed has replaced my windshield and done other work over the last few years. It’s like when you find a good barber, you’ve got to pray they don’t close or move ?.

I'll be completely honest, I haven't come in to get my car fixed here. But I did call about a pre-sale inspection (time crunch, ended up going somewhere closer) and whoever answered the phone was fantastic! Was super nice and working to fit me in on short notice. Even after I said I couldn't come in he still shared some quick pointers on getting an inspection, state law on warranties and gave me the low down on good and bad dealers nearby. Seem like really stand up guys, must be why they are so busy!

If you don’t know about Ed, let me tell you. This man is the only man I trust with my car. And honestly I’m grateful for him because I’ve been through some crazy experiences with this car and every time I manage to get the car to ed, within a couple days it’s fixed and running strong. This man has pulled me back from what edge with this car. And the only reason she’s still on the road is because of him. I bring him the car on a tow truck and drive it away when it’s ready. Always honest work with can’t beat prices.
Thanks ed!

Ed is by far the best mechanic you will ever meet. Not only this, but he is also super kind and down-to-Earth. His team is fantastic. Extremely fair and quick yet thorough work. Without a doubt the best shop in town. You won't be sorry for taking your vehicle here.

Ed is a great mechanic to work with! I typically would dread going to get my oil changed or worry about being up charged but Ed doesn’t do any of that. He delivered honest services and pricing! I would recommend this shop to anyone (Ed was highly recommended to me by a friend as well).
For context: I just purchased my first car and wanted to get an oil and filter change. Ed took the time to assess the rest of my car and inform me of anything that looked off / what to do (no additional fees and didn’t try to sell me anything to solve anything).
Ed is the best!

Consumer beware...I called Arya Auto repair 6707 N. Clark Street Chicago Illinois 60626-0000 and spoke to a guy by the name of "Ed" who quoted me a price for labor work for a 2007 BMW X3, approximately 104, 000 miles. I told Ed that I had my own parts "Transfer case actuator, and the changing of the transmission casing fluid. He quoted me a price of $250 for 2.5 hours of work. I agreed and he booked me for today October 17, 2023 10:00 a.m. I dropped the vehicle off as scheduled and told Ed that the transfer casing actuator and the fluid was on the back seat. Ed then stated that he would call me once the work was complete. Ed called me approximately 12:30 p.m. and told me that the car was ready. I was elated to say the least. I took the bus to the shop and paid Ed in cash as he had requested. Got a receipt and left. While driving I noticed that the 4x4, abs, and brake light was still on and the transfer casing was making noise. Being mindful that the system may need to calibrate; however, when I stopped at the gas station to get some gas I noticed the old part on the back seat with the full container of transmission fluid. I was livid and said to myself "here we go again" another CROOK. So I called Ed on the phone and ask him why hadn't he put the fluid in? And what he said was is that there was fluid still in the casing so he did not bother to change the fluid. As a mere mortal and listening to the scam. Of course we went back and forth about this. The bottom line is that I told him that the fluid and the transfer case actuator was on the back seat and he's a mechanic and his position is that there was casing fluid in the vehicle so he did not bother to change it. He charged me $250 to take 6 screws out of the dimensions of 10x 7x 4 inch transfer casing actuator, release 2 plugs and replace the new one. Would a mechanic change the oil without changing the filter? Would a mechanic changed the transmission without changing the fluid. We are talking about the fluid that has probably never been changed before. Approximately 104,000 miles, Fraud alert / scam alert. The sad thing once again is that when I tell the whole truth in writing detail by detail. Name, place, time, etc. The culprit will sit in disgust and shame as the narrative has a ring of sheer truth that can not be ignored. By the way there is no warranty on the labor because I brought my own parts. Thank you for reading have a great day.

Ed knows what he is talking about and is very fair in his pricing. I have had a hard time finding someone who really knows cars and is fair. I finally found him.
