Usually great but today for some reason a staff member just seemed to have a condescending tone when I was asking questions about the self check out. Overall issue was because the hand scanner didn’t work.
I called for help and confirmed I could scan using the top surface where the scale is, and then I had follow up about a vegetable that wasn’t scanning.
I’m sure working at a busy store can be stressful, and navigating lots of different energies from people and workload.
However, when someone’s just trying to figure out how to pay for their groceries, please don’t make them feel like an idiot at the self check out.

Discount food store. Clean. Most packaged products are off-brands that copy well-known brands and artwork. These knock-off products are generally of lower quality and less expensive. Fresh food is fresh. Reliable sorce for fresh produce, milk, eggs, yogurt, etc. UPDATE: After years of being abused by rude checkout cashiers, they finally have self checkout! YEEEHAAA!!!

9/20/24 I completed my shopping and placed everything on the belt to be rung up. Connie the cashier seemed a little upset since she was sweeping. She sat down to start scanning and mumbled “ I don’t know why you can’t scan it yourself” my daughter looked at me shocked and I said excuse me she startled and said oh nothing how are you she looked shocked I asked her did you just ask why I couldn’t scan my items she proceeded to say no have a nice day and handed me my receipt. I am a regular customer at this specific ALDIS normally scan my own items, but today happens to be very large amount so I figured it was empty and would be the best option.

You have to use trial and error to figure out what to buy here (much is just as good or better than store brands), but at $3.99 for so much of it, you can afford to try everything!

The staff's treatment is appalling and unpleasant. Spaniards can't come asking for cocoa or chocolate and be told that the staff doesn't know Spanish when they are being addressed in English. This is a supermarket we will never visit again. We come to spend our money in their country. The least they could do is be grateful.

Posting this in real time, but the second I got out of my car to buy a drink in the pick up area, when I have a curbside pick up through instacart, the girl who’s in charge of it immediately tells me I can’t park in the designated pick up spot. When i explained I’m in the correct area, she had a major attitude about it. When I went inside to buy a drink, I asked a cashier about the process only to have both of them say the rude girl was the one who handles that. I don’t know what her problem is but in these two brief interactions I don’t think she should be working here and it makes me never want to visit this location again. I’ve never had someone be so rude to me in the first three words they said to me, or felt so disrespected

I love this store. The employees are long term and they work hard. The store is always being stocked and cleaned and organized.
