Absolutely in love with the ACME. Perfect local, far enough from Michigan Ave to avoid the hustle but close enough to quickly walk there. Next to classic pizza place, Eataly, and all the quaint restaurant gems people rarely know about. Berkshire is absolutely fabulous! Rooms are great, and service is fun, friendly, and a pleasure to joke with. I love the ambience, the quaintness, and the culture of the ACME. I live near Chicago and am done with the big noisy hotels, and this is my new weekend get-away place.Rooms: Love the creative decore!Nearby activities: Eataly, Uno Pizza, all the fabulous restaurants, casino....everything right there!Walkability: Near everything that makes Chicago great.

This place is super hip and not laid out like other basic hotels. It is a great value for the area. The room was smaller than most, but perfect for our needs and the size wasn't an issue. I would say the hotel is a cool place for couples or friends rather than families-just the vibe I got. It's in a great area with a lot of attractions around. Also it's near the red line- for $5 a day you can get anywhere in Chicago. The view from the basic room is just the parking garage, so make sure to upgrade if you're hoping for a city view. This wasn't an issue for us as we enjoyed the city views while traveling on foot. The hotel staff is all super laid-back and friendly and made our stay in Chicago even more enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again next time!

A small room, no coffee, no water, and the girl at the front desk was arrogant. Its location is not bad.A very small room, no coffee, no water, and the girl at the front desk was arrogant. but location is not bad.

Everything was so perfect about this hotel! It’s so unique with the classic rock theme and so classic in general. Our room was amazing, the perfect size for 2 of us and a very very nice bathroom. It was quiet and comfortable, we would 100% stay here again and probably will.

I stayed here with my wife this past weekend, awesome hotel and friendly staff! When we checked in our original room wasn't prepared so they kindly upgraded us to a suite on the top floor! These guys know how to treat people. Definitely will be coming back.

The staff was very kind, I think the kindest I’ve ever seen for a hotel. After our first night, me not being real familiar with public transportation, the man at the front desk tried to flag down a cab for us. I wish I would have got both of the staffs names, but it was the woman that checked us in the first night, and the man who was at the front desk the next morning. The decor was unique, and so cool. The beds were a little hard to sleep on being firm in my room at least. The shower was a walk in shower and it was like standing in the rain, so cool. One window was the parking garage, and one window had a surprise which is in the pictures. The light near the tv was very dusty which has probably been overlooked for awhile, but oddly enough there wasn’t a speck of dust anywhere else, and the room was very clean beyond that lamp. The floors are a little worn, just normal wear and tear like paint chipping off the wall here and there, but that’s expected when you have people staying every night. It had 2 mini refrigerators, A sink, and a little counter area to the microwave, and there was a safe, and a desk. There was 2 comfy chairs to sit in, which isn’t real normal in a hotel room. There’s a cute little coffee shop when you walk in to check in and out. You can buy pop, and little snacks from the hotel. There’s a fancy bar in the back of the building past the elevators. The only thing negative I can say beyond what I said earlier is the parking. It’s close to the hotel, but you have to consider that in the price. If you don’t use spot hero, it’s $40 a night added to the hotel stay. But with spot hero, I paid $44 for 2 nights. But the morning I had to leave, I ended up being late because I got trapped in the parking garage because the scanner wouldn’t work. That wasn’t the hotel though. Just beware and give yourself some extra time to get out with those faulty scanners.Rooms: The rooms were spacious despite the reviews.Safety: During the day felt a little safer than at night. But it’s Chicago. I watch the news so that’s probably why I didn’t feel real safe outside of the hotel. It was very safe inside.Walkability: It’s in downtown. We were there for Fox News and it was 8 blocks away from us.

Loved staying at this cool hotel with a great vibe! Beautiful and spacious rooms, kind staff, excellent location, music playing in the elevators, beds and bedding were high quality, filtered cold and hot water available in the basement (bring your reusable mugs and water bottles). All in all, a wonderful experience. Looking forward to staying here again. ☘️?Rooms: Wonderful rooms with windows that open (love my fresh air)Walkability: Walking distance to coffee shops, Navy Pier, Chicago Riverwalk, subway, Trader Joe’s, Michigan Ave.

Acme is cool little spot in River North and while the hotel is generally pretty ok, I wouldn't stay again. They stopped their coffee service, no longer offer a welcome cocktail kit in the rooms, no longer stock the mini bar, one of two elevators was broken my entire stay, and I never got room maintenance even once, despite specifically requesting and reminding. There are a dozen boutique hotels within about 5 or 6 blocks of Acme and with such a low bar set, and I'd be more inclined to see if any of those simply do it better. If I ever find myself inside the Acme hotel again, it's for the Berkshire Room. That bar is great and have been coming for years.
