This review is for Gary, who went over and above for a tired teacher. Usually I dread going to hardware stores, but when I went in, he greeted me, asked if he could help, and immediately went straight to the aisle and helped me out. Thank you Gary!

Today August 22, 2024 at 5pm-ish, my friend Bill and I walked into the Ace Hardware at Foster & Harlem for license plate screws & nuts. We had small- quick talk with the female cashier (name tag obstructed) and was helped by Nate who was fine. We left, got home and found out the nuts were the wrong ones for the screws. No big deal. So we drove back, walked in and were confronted by the "manager " GARY who stated that we need to leave because we made the cashier uncomfortable and he would call the police. WHAT ? Bill & I have lived in the neighborhood for 17+ years and patronized that Ace many many times. When we asked GARY what we said that was inappropriate, he said ok I'm calling the police. We asked for the correct screws & nuts and said we would leave. Then GARY told us never to come back. WHAT ?
So now I ask my friends, family and neighbors to please take your business to the friendly Ace Hardware on Cumberland & Lawrence only 5 minutes away. I also ask that the owner and general manager get in contact with me so we can rectify this problem.

I love this store as my husband and I are new homeowners and have a lot of projects to tackle. Store manager chuck was the best; took time explaining products and making sure I had what I needed. Overall great experiences and all employees have been helpful and kind.

A young man named Jeff, helped me today. And i have to say Jeff is an AMAZING example of how to help/treat a customer. I am always excited to see the youth strive to be the best. This kid is going to do great things throughout his future, just from the way he handles people and his knowledge is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Thank you again Jeff!

Rude staff, i placed an order for a lawn mower for $400, few minutes later i got a call saying they don't have the exact model at the moment, no problem totally understandable. BUT THE PERSON WHO CALLED ME WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE ABOUT IT. This was my first experience shopping with ACE and I didn’t like it

Hello, I wanted to apologize on behalf of my mother, Delphine, who passed recently. She left a negative review not too long ago. When I went to visit her in the hospital during her final days she grabbed my hand and asked me to “Make it right” in reference to her reviews. She was eaten up by the guilt of leaving such negative reviews, but she was too sick to fix or delete the reviews herself. I would have deleted the reviews if she had given me her password to the emails to do so. But, in her state she forgot them all. She loved this Ace Hardware with her entire soul. She insisted she be buried with that Stanley, as it tied her to her favorite place, and favorite person in the world. Thank you Ace for making her final years as enjoyable as possible. And thank you for selling Stanley’s, against my ex-wife's wishes we did not cremate our child and I buried her with the Stanley wanting her to have the gift her favorite grandma gave to her. Once again, I sincerely apologize for any stress that might’ve been caused by her reviews. Her mind was not as sharp as it was when she raised me. May she rest in peace. I pray there is an Ace Hardware as good as this one in the clouds for her to enjoy.

I was kindly greeted by Jocelyn and she directed to to who could help me. Daniel who was in the key department was awesome he changed the batterie in my key fob for me. Both of these individuals were great. They are definitely assets to this company!

Very helpful staff at this location. They offered to load the car without even asking when we purchased garden, soil and seed. Was also very happy to see that everything was on sale.
