Did not pay price he promised. No big deal because it was overall small transaction but I waisted time to go there,when I could sell item to someone else much closer. Do not recommend and I will not go there again. Scaned my id. 8 don't know why.

Not sure how they do business with jewelry. I brought about 30 half dollars. Some low mintage S proofs. They didn’t even look twice, only interested in silver based coins and then offered less than anywhere else in the area.

I had some old gold coins (not going to lie, was hoping for a windfall!) that I was taking around for evaluation and possible sale. Chose this shop as 1 of 3 because of their affiliations with professional organizations, convenient location, family business and reviews. I was assisted by both Josh and Ralph. They answered my questions, explained their appraisal process, appeared to genuinely look for ways to give me a maximum buying price and were basically just nice. I also learned that they sold lots of things that I like (particularly watches!) and that they considered the time we spent to now make me eligible for “someone we’ve done business with” pricing. I’ll be back to shop for sure and they’ll be my first stop if I come into any assets in the future.

I bought my wife’s wedding ring from them in 2017. I recently stopped in to see if the prongs around the diamond needed tightening. The owner honestly assessed that it was not currently in need of such service and threw in a free cleaning while I was there.

John was great, both on the phone and in person. I called a few places before deciding to sell some gold jewelry here. I received a very fair price and John was honest, transparent, and friendly throughout the process; he even removed the pearls from a pair of earrings for me at no charge. I highly recommend John at A-1 Jewelry & Coin Buyers.

I was shocked at how much higher the prices were vs buying from reputable online bullion dealers. Even with the credit card up-charge and shipping costs, I could buy bullion cheaper than they are offering rounds.
