Rick and his staff are always honest when it comes to what needs to be done. He explains everything either such detail to you. Affordable prices and doesn’t try to sell and do more than he should. We followed Rick from Oak Lawn where it used to be Patons. And we will continue to take our cars to him.

My father & I have 4 vehicles altogether. We're not novices when it comes to mechanical issues. That being said it's still important to know a great place to take a troublesome vehicle & while looking for a new place to take our vehicles to (our current mechanic of 25 yrs is retiring) we were referred to A & R Auto Repair. All in all...very professional, competitively priced, & no excess charges for repairs your vehicle might or might not have needed. The owners have been in the business for 45 years. That should say enough there.

I'm not one to leave reviews on anything but these guys deserve 5 stars. They are honest, straight forward mechanics. If you go in there for a problem they won't BS you around. They get the job done in a timely manner at a reasonable price.

I brought my car here for an engine light after suggestions from Facebook and family friends. Rick, the former owner of Patons on Cicero helped me through the process and kept a constant line of communication. He was very honest in saying my problem wasn't a necessity to fix, only for emissions but nonetheless I went forward with the project. The price was less than the dealers, and I received way better customer service. Rick further went on to explain that the previous owner of my car used after market parts on some repairs. Very happy with A & R! Will suggest this shop to others and I'll come back in the future.
