What a Great place!!! Took my daughter there this afternoon to visit Magnus, a 2 yr old male they received last month as a stray. Cameron(Hope spelled right!) helped us from yesterday's call to today's visit and was Top-Notch, 2nd-to-None, Fantastic! The process was smooth, great facility, and we walked out with a new member of our family! Thank you South Suburban Humane Society!

Very excellent low cost clinic. We take my 4 cats and Dog here and they go above and beyond. Love Christine. She was the low cost clinic Manager but now she moved to Spay clinic. She still takes the time to answer my emails when I have questions. Sometimes I have trouble getting ahold of the clinic because they a large volume or clients plus calls but am able to always get a prompt answer from her.
They also have a pet food pantry on Tuesdays and that’s helped alot on months where I am low on food for my pets.

I adopted my girl at the humane society’s adoption event at petsmart. They were so caring and answered all my questions wo feelings if guilt. I got a beautiful 4 yo pittie who is the bestest girl. So calm and sweet and well cared for!!!

Let me just first start off by saying over the years i have supported the humane society. I have adopted a beautiful dog from you all and appreciate all of the work you do. Today I was very very disappointed with the humane society. I came in around 12:30pm and was greeted by two nice ladies who i explained that I had a stray dog and needed assistance, before they could respond they were cut off by a very rude woman who completely shewed me off without any care whatsoever. Here I am with a sick flea infested abandoned dog trying to find shelter or any care at all for it and was told to drive back where i found it and get help and was also told by leaving the dog…which I would never do, that me the one person who has fed cared and housed a stray dog that I would face a felony even though here I am trying to do the right thing. The only reason why I chose the humane society is because I trusted you all and felt like you all would do the right thing or at least could’ve helped me be able to continue to care for the stray dog with additional resources. What a horrible person that day, she may be great any other day she may be great period but in that moment she was horrible to even say that. I then went to the police station spoke to a very nice gentle caring police officer who helped me. He at least scanned for the chip and helped me come up with some ideas. So, I ended up at Petco, in homewood with 4 wonderful ladies who paid for all the dogs care and medicine and they even named the dog for me. They made it so i can at least continue to house the dog safely in my home around my other pets and my children and i really appreciate them for that. They also thanked me for being a Good Samaritan. I know you all work hard everyday. I’m sure the people in the community work hard as well and I truly appreciate all of you that truly care for everyone that walks thru that door rather you can help them or not. Sometimes it’s not what you say it’s how you say it and that goes along away. ❤️

Dr Phillips is out on medical and we are looking forward to seeing him when he returns but Dr razor is a knowledgeable kind man that cares for his patients and listens and explains everything.

I would give them a zero if I could. I adopted a cat there three months ago. They told me she had special needs, i.e , kidney issues she needed to be on special food. After adopting her we took her to our vet for a health check. No kidney issues. Because of their constant antibiotics for a gross misdiagnosis, her gut was so badly messed up she had to be put to sleep this morning. I wish they hired less stupid people who actually know something about the animals they have at the shelter and a vet who does have her head up her back side. They make shelters look bad. If you're looking for a new pet, go anywhere else. They don't care.
