“Called for a tow home in the afternoon when my car died on the way to work in the morning. He got to the car a couple minutes faster than me. Got it on and got placed where I needed it to be. Price was less than I expected. So good service promptly at a fair price. Did a good job of not damaging the car at all.”
“The guys at Rays always knock it out of the park. I've trusted them multiple times after going to other shops around Rockford and having issues with steering wheel alignment afterwards and even a jam nut coming loose on a vehicle done at another shop (which just happens to be directly up the street from Rays)”

“Edit of original review: The manager contacted me within a couple hours and apologized. He was humble, apologetic and provided the type of customer service I look for. I really appreciate that. He made things right so I’m editing my review to reflect that.
Considering his follow up customer service after the bad experience I would recommend.
Original review:
Stopped in for an oil change and fluid fill up. The lady working the desk suggested a filter be replaced. We agreed. They drove my van out and said everything was done. I got in and went to use my window fluid and nothing. Asked the guy who did the service if he filled up the fluid he said “yeah.” I said “well there’s no fluid in my vehicle.” He then told me to calm down. This employee lied straight to our faces about a service we paid for in front of everyone. Then said “pull it back around.” The employees had awful attitudes, no where near friendly or any type of customer service.
If I wouldn’t have checked before leaving, they would have lied just like they did to our faces and I would have been out of luck.
It would have been a completely different story if he would have been humble and admitted his mistake. At this point I’m thinking it could have been intentional to do less work. He immediately was in a side room with a popsicle in his mouth while we wasted our time to drive back around and wait for the fluids to actually be changed.
Unacceptable.
Now I’m wondering if they put the right oil in and actually changed the filter.”
“Decent price for good work I had my inner tie rods, adjustments sleeves and an alignment done for just over $300In and out of the shop the same dayMy only complaint is the toe in the wheels is still ever-so-slightly pointed outward but not enough to cause a major problem compared to how I used to be before the alignmentWas also told the camber is slightly off due to needing upper ball joints but that's understandableOverall I would say it is definitely worth coming here”
“We were an hour into a road trip (at the start of a holiday weekend of course) and my skid plate came loose on my car. I called Grease Monkey Belvedere and spoke with Eli who was super helpful on the phone with how to get the car over to their facility. I know ZERO about cars and Eli was very patient while I explained what was going on to the best of my ability. We got there and they were so accommodating in getting us in. I was honestly dreading how much this would delay our trip because of the time of day and holiday. We had a car full of stuff and our dogs - I appreciated their patience with us, and omg they were so quick. They took a look at the skid plate and were able to reattach it so we could get on our way safely. Eli was professional and so were the other individuals there. 10/10 service and I 100% would be a regular customer if I lived nearby. Picture of our happy dogs waiting outside while the team fixed our car, and also the picture of the skid plate before they fixed it and put it back up where it belonged! Thank you!”
“Grease Monkeys did a great job on doing my oil change. They even checked my cabin filter, this was super dirty, and they had the size I needed in stock so that was changed also. Overall very happy.”
“Two employees saved us alot of trouble this morning! We had a rental car tire leaking air on a road trip. They were short staffed and not even open, yet they replaced the valve and got all the tires pumped up for us. We were back on the road in minutes. Thank you for your kindness and willingness to help! It had been a long trip and we very much welcomed the break.”
“This is by far my personal best Walmart Auto Center Experiences. I knew I had purchased my tires in Lacrosse, WI at another Walmart, but a friend took my car in for me and used their phone number and spelled my last name wrong, so we were having trouble finding my road hazard warranty. The Gentlemen found the number on the tire, entered that into the system, which came up with my information which was all wrong, and still honored the road hazard warranty So the tire only cost me $40. Without the warranty it would’ve been $167. Due to this person’s nature and patience, and going above and be I was able to save a substantial amount of money. He was an absolute pleasure to work with.Aside from my amazing auto center experience, the rest of the staff inside this Walmart was extremely helpful. They were polite. They were friendly, not your typical Walmart experience, at least around here. This particular Walmart is about 20 minutes out of my way and it is the only one that I will visit on a regular basis.”
“Needed two tires replaced. Staff were friendly and helped me with the skid plate that was hanging off underneath. However the only thing I noticed is the wait time is too excessive for the tasks needed to be done. As I tried to determine why it would take 2.5 hours I noticed that they went from vehicle to vehicle rather than starting and sticking to one vehicle till the task was complete. Overall I was satisfied with the work and the tires are great. I just see that some organization and focus could increase business and decrease customers wait time.”
