I love shopping at aldis. Staff is always so upbeat at both mattoon and Charleston il stores. They run a great team at both stores.

I had my two special needs kiddos in the store. They were yelled at twice for sitting on the counter within seconds by two different employee, as we were trying to get bagged up to leave. I said that was extreme and was told not to get an attitude, those counters are where people groceries go! My child had limited understanding of what was being told to him, a little patience and humanizing others can go a long way. Sending prayers for the staff to find grace and humility and humanity even at the end of the night, when autistic children may have to shop the store.

Love Aldi, detest the night manager who is extremely rude. Tried to make a return without a receipt and was told " In this day and age, you have to have a recipe to return an item!" Doesn't even know her own stores return policy and was very unkind during the entire interaction. She needs to work elsewhere because her attitude doesn't fit with every other Aldi employee I've ever met.
