Extremely unprofessional. I was lied to multiple times, by directors. Constantly over ratio at drop off and pick up. Never again.

Went here last year, the head of the staff was really nice as well as most of the workers, however there was once last year where a heavy Latina woman pretty much got in my son's face and argued like a child with my son over an incident, and once the Latina walked away her own daughter walked up and agreed with my son, then the field trips go nowhere, the water day has no pool, I'm getting both field trips and 2 swim days at a pool for my son for less money than this place at the YMCA, if your child is too old for naps dont expect the staff to figure that out nor any of the activities geared towards your child age in their current stage of development, not to mention throughout the summer I had to sign 4 or 5 new contracts, the final one raising the price in the middle of the contract from around 250-280, when requested for my son to go somewhere for a week I was told I'd either have to pay for the week he isn't there, or pay a registration fee all over again, the final day of the summer camp program they didn't let my son bounce in the bounce house until I picked him up at the end of the day, im pay 280+ a week and you expect me to be there? not to mention they only pay their workers like 11-13 an hour, shame on the owners! Bunch of old, cheap, greedy people!

The staff here really seems invested in my daughter. They care about her and her progress. She has learned so much and adores both her teachers. They have many other staff there that are all friendly and welcoming. I feel safe and happy dropping off my daughter there because she loves to go and they welcome her with open arms.

They don’t even deserve 1 star. They are scam artists. Beware. I received state aid and they would lie to the state and tell them my son attended more days than he actually attended to receive more money. Then weeks after I took my son out of their care, they tried to tell me I owed them a ton more money. I have spent months trying to work out how it is possible to owe them money when I paid every payment and received state aid. Not only that, but 2 months after ending our contract while in constant contact with them trying to go over all of this, (I put in the appropriate 2 weeks notice and paid all of my tuition and our contract had ended) They tried to charge my card without any authorization and are now trying to charge me an extra $35 fee on a payment they had no authorization to charge. I have multiple statements where they have changed the cost and changed payment amounts. I even have a statement showing they over charged days to the state. I will be reporting them to the state for fraud and contacting my attorney to handle them trying to charge my card without authorization. The staff there are very nice but the owners only care about a paycheck, they do not care about the kids.

If I could give zero stars I would. FYI a lot of the 5* reviews here are likely to be from employees: my initial review was as an employee and I was entered into a raffle for giving them a positive Google review; this was within my first few wks of working here. This is a business I would not recommend being employed for. I have reached out countless times to them to follow up for my last paycheck for which they literally took $250 out for “training” that I never started or received. I finally had to file a grievance with the State as there was zero follow up after my exit interview at which I was told those monies should have never been taken out as it was not applicable to not only my part time status (mind you I was working very close to full time hours because they were so perpetually short staffed and they desperately needed warm bodies to watch the kids under their care).Third: I feel that the conditions for employees and the children were far from optimal. i found myself often being thrust into rooms filled with high need toddlers with one special needs child, for an age group and condition I never rec’d even on-the-job-orientation for. THIS was not an uncommon experience. For myself and for others employed there. It was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back for me when it was clear there would be no change to this situation.Do what you will with this and others reviews but it is clear that the bottom line is what LL is most concerned with.

I did not trust this daycare with watching my three year old son and I got him out of there so fast. At first everything seemed fine for the first month or so until out of nowhere, they started complaining about my son’s behavioral issues every day he was in their care and threatening to send him home if his behavior doesn’t change. I was getting phone calls every day saying that he needed to be picked up and what I found weird about all of that was every time I was called to have my son picked up was exactly at 9:55am on the dot as if they were planning it. They were charging us $60 a day, but wanted him sent home early. and I couldn’t just up and leave work every day to have my son picked up and the woman at the front desk had told me that maybe my son might not be a good fit for their institution which I thought was rude and unprofessional. They didn’t even try to work with my son in spite of all these promises this daycare makes about how they help children improve and go as far as to have 1 on 1 time with each individual child. And then he would come home with cuts on his face and they would tell me that he did it to himself with no further explanation and that tells me that he’s not being supervised, and with their policy, you can’t even go inside to pick up your son and see what’s happening. They make you wait outside while they bring your child out. Everything about this place seems shady and untrustworthy. One star.

The owner, Melissa, is terrible. Treats her employees like they're her servants, lacks basic compassion and only cares about money. Thus, the high turnover rate of employees. Definitely take your children elsewhere!

I'm not a person to write a bad review, so obviously, I needed this off my chest. The Director I spoke to on our tour was amazing but when I went to talk with her the other day, she was gone. I have also noticed that other teachers are not there anymore. They had such a nice place, running smoothly and everyone seemed to be happy. Very good teachers also. I was going to apply to work there but after I learned what the owner pays, I said nope. Not even minimum wage, or even close to it. It's sad to hear that those hard working ladies, basically the second mother to these kids, can't afford anything. Can't afford to fill their tank up, can't afford food for their own children and can't even afford the care for their children. They work for free in other words. Now, we paid $100 to register, a few weeks later another $75, then in august another $75 along with a tuition increase. I was told "everything is going up, we are in a pandemic". It shouldn't be about the money, if the owner really had a heart, but about the children. Don't make the children look like $$ dollar signs. We have been an extra income for the owner for some time now this year. From the day we toured until this current day, the center has gone down hill so much. Class sizes are smaller(not a bad thing) but because of families leaving due to bad management and tuition issues. I've overheard plenty of other parents questioning what is going on. I've heard the owner is rude to her employees and threatens them all the time. I've also been informed that the classrooms are never in ratio. I asked one day why so many kids and only one teacher? I asked how many kids can she have alone, because it was very busy and she looked stressed, she told me but she had more than that number. That's not safe at all and totally illegal. My child has been coming home with marks from anything you could think of. Falling, another child hitting, biting, punching etc...Why? Doesn't the staff watch the children? Well it's probably hard when you're one person watching way too many kids. Although they have a curriculum notebook for each kid,( was told on my tour about it) I have yet to see or informed of these being used. I also have the app but barely get pictures of my child. It's just disappointing when you think your children are in the safest, best educational program place ever, but in all reality, the place is just a rip off. No learning done at this academy. We are leaving the Academy, soon. It's just not a good fit for us anymore. I wish the owner didn't have so much turn over either. If you can't keep your employees, you might need to look at the bigger picture. You! I don't think they deserve any stars.

My child had attended Little Learners this past year, within the past week we had removed her from the daycare facility. Reason for removing her from this daycare is from many occasions of neglect and improper care of a child from so-called professional people of this daycare facility. My child was a baby in the infant section. I had spoken to the director on many occasions about the treatment or should I say the non treatment my daughter was receiving. To name a few, my daughter came home with a horrible rash that seemed as if she had not changed for many hours, this rash took many days to go away and my poor baby suffered during this time. Another time we picked her up and she had boogers so badly she could not even breathe out of her nose. Another time her clothes were dirty from the floors that they are allowing children to crawl around on. Another time my daughter did NOT get fed her food that was sent with her that day just to name a few. After all of these poor abusive neglect of a child the director still did not make it right. This facility also went through many child care providers as they were quitting due to how they were being treated, so just think how the children feel. She said she would talk to the child care providers but I did not see any change. The director of this facility must oversee and direct her child care providers to ensure that ALL children are receiving the proper care. I would not refer Little Learners to anyone to assure you I will share the unprofessional and neglect that children receive at this facility.

Very upset that after more than year of my child attending their center, I now have to find somewhere else for her to go. Sucks to have to choose between your child and needing to work because they are no longer willing to accommodate parents that work later than 5pm. Very unprofessional and uncaring about people in general.

Little Learners is a wonderful daycare/school. My son has been going here for the past 4 years and loves it. My daughter also goes here and has the most amazing teachers. The staff is absolutely wonderful! They are reliable and friendly. My kids have learned so much for LLCA. Would highly recommend! ❤️

My son absolutely loves attending pre-k here! The teachers create such a fun hands-on, educational environment that he loves! He is always excited to show me his beautiful crafts and tell me all about his day. The teachers upload memorable moments, friendly reminders, monthly and weekly themes, etc. his meals and nap duration after he leaves. This I absolutely love! I always try to encorpoate what he is learning at school, at home. It is a relief knowing my son is in great hands here! ?

The staff is absolutely wonderful, and so loving. However, the daycares COVID policies regarding exposer and quarantining are outrageous and insensitive. My children have been quarantined 3 times total from exposer at Little Learners and the daycare has made me pay full tuition even though they quarantined my children. As a single mother of 3 children and being a one income household, being off work unpaid for two weeks is devastating enough financially, but then being told you also had to continue to pay your weekly tuition for those two weeks was even more so devastating. They eventually offered one week, 1/2 off BUT with a note from my employer that I was going to be off unpaid. To me, that is mind blowing. The daycare was well aware of my situation and showed no compassion and made me feel as if they only cared about the financial side of things, while I cried to them on the phone 4 times. I called three other centers who all said that they do not charge tuition if their students are quarantined because of exposer at their center. After all of this I made the decision to pull my children from this center, which was heartbreaking to me and the kids as we loved their teachers. The center told me that I was not allowed to collect my childrens belongings and art work unless I paid their tuition for the next two weeks- even though my children were not allowed to attend because of exposer at Little Learners. After being with the center for two entire years, disappointed is an understatement.

I love little learners in Channahon and so does my daughter! My daughters been going since she was 6 weeks old. Now 19 months and has no problem being dropped off. All the teachers are so caring and make all mommy worries disappear. I wouldn’t choose another daycare!
