October 2023 by Margaret Barnard
This time of year, October, is a great time to go and observe the birds who are migrating through on their way to the South. The confluence of the two rivers makes it a wonderful resting and feeding area. This area is so well-maintained and it was a beautiful day! We saw beautiful white swans and a snowy egret. Be sure to bring your binoculars! We didn't actually go into the center because it is closed on weekends.

I captured a wedding here and just loved the location. I love the outdoor space for the ceremony and had great locations for photos nearby. The reception was tons of fun and was the perfect space for all the formals and dancing!

Very clean and beautiful grounds. Nice walking paths. The educational center has interactive children's activities they can play with as they learn. The front desk had a knowledgeable conservationist, she was genuinely happy (even excited) to answer my daughter's questions. It's great to have people that are driven to teaching others about conservation and nature. Absolutely awesome experience.Visited today for "Mammal Madness," the event was awesome! My kids fully enjoyed it. They are already talking about how many more animals they get to see next time. Looking forward to further events at the educational center.

Very cool place! Has paved walking trails. They also have special events from time to time. They just had the Eagle watch on January 14th. There are 2 pavilions, multiple park benches, and a really nice spot to go fishing that's near the entrance.Dog-friendliness: Trails for you to walk your dog.Picnic area: They have 2 pavilions

Gem of a nature center. Exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable staff. Truly appreciated their people skills. The naturalist answered all of our questions. And the staffperson at the front desk was a birder who was great at identifying birds at their feeders. Nice plus: bird ID books were placed conveniently near windows in the gathering room.
