Very nice room and spacious. My only take away is, in my room in the bathroom, there is only one shower door which leads to water getting all in the floor. The water is so soft that it took 24 minutes to get shampoo and conditioner all out of my hair. The bottom of the shower was so slick because the water is too soft that it wouldn't wash everything down the drain. Very dangerous especially for older people. Please check the water.

Tough property from a physical standpoint. Looks to be starting renovations which is badly needed. Missing furniture, non operational and missing TVs, wall photos missing, uncomfortable bed. Customer service, safety, and morning breakfast were all above average. I would not return for about year until they get the updates done.

Arrived late at night to learn room had been cancelled without notice. Told us to look at the super 8 down the road. Contacted corporate 3x , no response from manager. Disgrace to the Marriott name.

Worst experience staying in Marriott properties over last 20 years. Status and loyalty means nothing to this hotel.Given a room without aircondition working, then given alternate room with smell & dampness.Worst breakfast service and the staff has the audacity to throw away the waffle you prepared, without even checking.Breakfast time says 9 (weekday) or 9.30 (weekend); but the egg scramble / waffle is over 30 mins before time and the kitchen staff has no courtesy even to try.Rudest experience in US by far; I'm in shock still, how this is a Marriott property.Hotel has no experience in handling even half full hotel, underprepared for move in week.No swimming pool, air condition didn't work in gym, filthy common places, cold coffe / no coffee most times.I even forgot lot of other bad experiences that I've gone through. This property should be shutdown immediately to save the Marriott name.

This hotel should not have Marriott in its name. The hotel does not even have bread in breakfast nor is any juice present. The pool is closed. The beds are the worst. The receptionist and the staff are as rude as possible. If you want to retain your sanity please do not book this hotel, airbnb is a much better option.Rooms: Beware of the spiders jumping in the mouldy mattressNoteworthy details: Worst hotel possible run by people who don’t care, and want to suck off the marriot brand name.

I am a long time member of Marriott Bonvoy silver elite customer. I was very disappointed with this hotel. I don't know who took it over, but it has been a very unpleasant stay. The rooms could definitely be renovated for the amount they charge. Cleanliness is not their priority. The halls carpet is filthy and has an odor. The room couch was not only lumpy, but had stains all over it. I wouldn't sit on it if someone paid me to. The bath shower had mold and gout around the bottom and there was trash behind one of the night stands. The bed was also uncomfortable to sleep in and the pillows were flat. When I returned to my room, after being out all day, the room had not been served. All I got from the desk clerk was, "I'm sorry, but it will be cleaned tomorrow." I told her that I check out tomorrow. I got the hotel manager contact information to file a complaint.I will never stay at this Residence Inn again and would recommend that you steer clear of it. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!

In spite of being included with the stay, Breakfast was non-existent. Everything was polished off an hour before closing time and request for refill was answered by ‘I can’t do anything. I’ve cooking all morning!’The cook/chef is single handedly bringing down the establishment. Though other staff is not very polite either. They respond to everything as if one has asked for a favor.Cleanliness is an issue. Corridors stink of marijuana and carpet has spill marks all over. Housekeeping of your room has to be ‘scheduled’ a day in advance and they can still overlook if staff feels they did enough for the day.For a well travelled person, it was my worst, almost shocking hotel experience living here. We had to move to another hotel for peace of mind.

This hotel doesn't earn the right to include Marriott in it's name. You will not get the Marriott experience you expect here. Rooms have stains on furniture and different damage to the rooms. Hallways have torn up carpet and the lobby has old, worn out seating. Pool is closed and siding is falling off outside.Dishes were missing and soap missing to clean what dishes we did have. Incredibly disappointing ?

Omg! This place has completely gone downhill! Avoid at all cost. We have stayed at this property multiple times since it opened. It is severely dated, and old. Pool was closed - no notification, rooms smelled like smoke and everything is super tired and worn. Definitely not what I am accustomed to as a Marriott Rewards member. The place is pathetic and no one cares if the experience is poor.We had to move rooms after 3 nights…they cleaned the carpets (they should have removed them) and the AC quite working. The first room they moved us to reeked or smoke. The second room also reeked of smoke not nearly as bad but it had terrible mold with a water leak. I found it later that night, no way was I changing rooms a third time. It was a fiasco when I mentioned the smoke smell with the first room change. I reached out to Marriott and they referred me to the hotel, Ashley Shaffer who did absolutely NOTHING! I have included pics. Worst experience ever!!!Breakfast was awful, they didn’t have juice or fresh fruit. My family skipped it all together. I would avoid this place at all costs. It needs to lose the Marriott name, it’s an embarrassment to Marriott!

When we got to our room, the door was open and the room was unclean. The front desk did provide us with a new room at that point. Not worth the money we paid to sleep for 6 hours.Other than that, it was quiet. Staff were polite and professional... so I guess I'd upgrade my initial rating from a 2 to a 3.

Don’t stay here. We couldn’t get past the dirty floors, musky rooms and poor service. We had been traveling all day and expected a hotel by Marriott to be decent but what we experienced wasn’t. I was using points to save money and instead spent $180 next door at the Best Western because we weren’t staying here. When we spoke to the front desk person about our displeasure, they blow us off. I did get my points back and wasn’t charged anything but this hotel shouldn’t be under the Marriott brand.

My wife and I stay at Marriot properties for work for the points. We are both titanium elite, so we've seen a lot of properties. By far, this location has to be THE WORST Residence Inn in the Midwest. It's an absolute dump. Rooms are dirty, falling apart, and the upper floors smell like a skunky marijuana dispensary. I'm looking for the hidden cameras to see if I'm on some reality tv show. Very pathetic for the price of the room. I was driving past a Motel 6 and was wondering if that would of been nicer. My guess is that it probably is. I can't believe Marriot keeps this shit hole place open. It definitely takes down the quality of the brand. If your looking for a good hotel in the 150-200 price range, look elsewhere in Champaign, you can find much better properties.

The price should have tipped me off. The reviews weren't great but the other Marriott properties nearby were rated even worse. The outside building looks new.Everything else is terribly worn and abused.
