Lures people to drive 4 hours under false pretenses making false claims about the truck I came to see only to be unwilling to be reasonable. Selling unsafe to drive vehicles that they claim are in excellent condition with suspicious dash clusters in them that may or may not be the right mileage! Buyer beware. This was my own personal experience and I’d discourage ANYONE from giving these people ANY money.

Sold me a car that the entire frame and cradle was rusted.out. was told my two different mechanics that the car was unsafe to drive. Presented the suv as low mileage and barely driven. When confronted said he would help then didn't hear from him again.

Had seen a listing on Terre Haute craigslist about a truck but saw the Champaign phone number so was trying to figure out where the truck was actually located at. Had texted back and forth a couple of times and Marty called and said I "couldn't text anymore because his phone was broken and that I was looking for some such truck or something". I told him that I was in Champaign but the truck was listed in Terre Haute so I was just wondering if it was here so I could look at it and he said "I'm in Champaign and we advertise all over the place and it isn't illegal to sell trucks across state lines, so don't lecture me". I told him "Thank You and to have a good afternoon". He lost a sale. His business. His choices. Yes, he was posing as a private owner on Craigslist etc etc but I was willing to overlook everything and do my due diligence on the vehicle (checking to make sure idiot lights hadn't been disabled, etc) but he lost the sale.

This guy Marty posed as a private owner, had me come to his mothers house. Bought the car and later he harrassed me and my boyfriend. Barely had the car 6 months and it died in the middle of an intersection. He is a goul human and deserves all the bad karma he has coming to him!

These reviews are nothing like the experience I had with Marty. I'm gonna tell the entire truth about it. I saw the car on a craigslist ad. Didn't really specifically tell me he was a private seller, I just assumed, I guess. Set a viewing up for the next day. Surprised to arrive at the destination address, which happened to be a small used car dealership. I had steered clear of any car lots or dealerships because I only had $3k to spend... I didn't want to walk out with another payment to make lol. Marty gave me the same run down, but in detail as he did on the ad. It's a used, 18 year old car. It's got 200k-ish miles on it. It runs exceptionally well, starts even in coldest winter days, and has minor flaws, but overall good condition body, and interior included.Several mechanical issues known with these specific models had been recently repaired as well... Test drove it, loved it, bought it, all in just under 30 minutes. I noticed some good and bad on the drive back. The windows, sunroof, moonroof, all speakers, stock radio/cd/stereo worked, the heated seats worked (he didn't even tell me about those) the check engine and ALL OTHER HAZARD LIGHTS worked. The e-brake had been disconnected, as he had told me. The gas gauge was sticking, but if you DO YOUR RESEARCH LIKE YOU SHOULD WHEN BUYING USED VEHICLES, that is common for this model and easily repaired... the glove compartment had a crack in it, no big deal. Checked the fluids, as you should when a car has been driven after sitting for an extended period, or every time you fill your tank up. Fluids were good, I paid $1969 For everything including plates... Got my plates in the mail a week later and have been able to contact Marty who BY THE WAY was COMPLETELY PROFESSIONAL THE ENTIRE TIME. Some of you walk into car lots the way you walk into your best friend's tattoo shop. You expect people to compromise their own livelihood to give you a break... You expect to get a luxury vehicle in mint shape for under $5k... Used cars are less expensive to buy but you always need to be aware of the maintenance costs and extra precautions associated with owning a vehicle with higher miles, a little older, it's a USED CAR YOU GUYS... People are always so quick to write nasty reviews so I thought I'd leave my two cents... Is it a perfect vehicle? Of course not. Do I LOVE IT!?!?! ABSOLUTELY! It is reliable dependable, I would buy from him again and I would also reccomend my friends and family to Champaign Auto Sales. I am overall very satisfied. Thank You Marty!

I shouldn't even be required to put a star. I recently purchased a mitshubishi endevor from him for me and my 3 year old daughter. He acted and spoke so professionally and honest I thought theres no way this guy is going to sell me a bad car. I Had to replace breaks 4 days after getting it. Placed brand new tires on it. It had a driver side leak that was causing mold to grow all over and just the other day I was on the highway when the transmission blew up. Ive been trying to find a contact number for him and can not. Which after reading these posts I doubt it would help my current stranded situation and job loss. Thanks Marty.

Dont buy from here. Super shady dealership. Sells lemons. Sold us a car that started messing up on way home. Took into another dealership and found tons of things wrong with it. Turns out the check engine light bulb was conveniently broke thats why it wasnt on.
