Nicole was just wonderful helping me to adopt Carmel and Kaleah (formerly named Vanilla Bean). We are slowly growing as a pack, but they are quickly getting bigger. They are already over 30 pounds and wicked smart. Thank you for allowing me to be their forever home.

I volunteer here almost everyday, Nicole is such a sweet and kind person, Toby who is another volunteer is also a very kind man and they both love the animals that they care for. I really recommend this animal shelter for anyone looking for a sweet dog or cat or if they want to volunteer!

Nicole has been absolutely wonderful. Our family is beyond excited to take home Hopie on Saturday. Nicole answered all of my questions very thoroughly, and was more than willing to go above and beyond to make sure that I was going to be comfortable adding Hope into our home. She even provided videos of Hope in the cat room so that I could see how she did with them before making the 45 minute drive down to meet her.
Our family couldn't be more excited. Nicole was extremely accommodating to my work schedule and didnt make me feel rushed at all while we took time to get to know Hope and get a feel for her personality. This is by far the best shelter I've ever visited. I will forever recommend this shelter to my friends and family. its worth the drive ❤️

This is a no kill shelter and my friend adopted a severely neglected dog from there in July 2018. Since then he has passed away in January of 2019 and I got the dog who happen to to be in his will upon his death. this is one of the most amazing places I have ever seen. The reason why they call it the hearts of Hancock County it's because you people have an extremely large heart for all the abused neglected animals that need their help. Anyone needing or wanting a dog should call 1st.
