“I live across the street so I been going here for seven consistent years, daily. Ya know, nobody survives here longer than 6 months but every single person in that place is extremely friendly, underpaid, and overworked. This place would have a loyal staff if they paid people what they are worth, and that is clear. That’s a corporate problem. But anytime you come here, know somebody’s gonna greet you with a smile. Just know it’s prolly someone new. ??”

1312 E Main St, Carbondale“The employees where very kind and asked if their was anything they could help with or even answer any questions that I may had. They also where making sure that the place was clean and well cared for. Hope to see them continuing to do this on my next visit. I would definitely recommend this place”
“After they set the Kmart down in West Frankfort it's the first time I've been in that building since ... and a lot of stuff you probably don't need but a lot of people think they need and cheap prices on things so check this store out...”

2111 N Park Ave, Herrin“Better stocked and cleaner than the Dollar General in south side of town. A bit too small but no big deal. Some of the workers not so friendly but then other ones are.”
“The best Dollar Tree that I have visited. Very clean and extremely well organized. We went in to buy balloons for a college graduation. The ballon’s for select occasions were already blown up. The manager and staff were awesome. The card selection was excellent and organized. This store and manager deserves special recognition.”
“I'm akeays surprised to see things the have there. Got my dogs some Rachel Ray nutrish dog food for $6 and pedigree wet food puches for $3.50
I know why their stock is running $230+ a share.”
“Nice clean store. Shelves stocked pretty. Were a few that were empty, but to be expected. Last at the check out very nice. She was really trying to help a man that didn't have enough money to pay for everything after she rang it up. They were able to work it out.”

110 W Linden St, Zeigler“Any time I go to any Dollar General store, I simply Love them all I always find something New in store! Great place for absolutely great bargains! Whatever you need!!!”
“Just like any other dollar general only thing that changes are the faces and the attitudes. Couldn't find an empty cart, the employees had stuff in them so I had to use a basket which limited my buying.”
“I really like the staff. I’m always going in there in the afternoon and those guys are cool and friendly, helpful as well. They had something I was looking for , I couldn’t find. Was so excited! The staff alone is worth the stop!”
“Store often kind of a mess and understocked but they seem understaffed as well. Not as nice as one on north end of town but still fairly cheap and quick in and out.”
“Lillie was super helpful when I came in with a large shopping order for a client. She took the time to show me where what I needed was and offer substitution suggestions. Awesome customer service!”
8AM - 8PM
301 E Walnut St, Carbondale“Umm, it's a Save a Lot, not a Whole Foods. That being said, the Latin food section is lit. Don't sleep on the donuts/muffins either. But no, this is a very basic grocery store with some bargains, especially in the frozen foods area.”
“Good store and wonderful reputation for a thrift store. I’ll buy things from here every once in a while. I don’t care what people say about your pricing being unreasonable.”
“I don’t know if this store is under new management or what but it looks so much better than it did in the past. It’s less cluttered, things are in place and the staff takes the time to actually walk you to where an item is rather than pointing in some direction and saying it should be over there. I will only shop at this store and if I am not in the area of it, I will wait until I am in that area rather than stopping at any other one. Management…Keep doing what you’re doing because you have taken this store to an all new level! Kudos to you for a job well done! You deserve an award for having the best DG in southern Illinois.”
