Literally the worst haircut I’ve ever received: lopsided, bangs are extremely uneven, messed up the hairline, didn’t trim above the ears, hair in one area is nearly a 2inch difference from right next to it. The girl (4/1 at 12:30) was either drunk or had no idea what she was doing. I really wanted to go back to complain, but I’ve decided to never set foot in this facility ever again. Lost customer.

I mean it wholeheartedly when I say this is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten!! I’ve gotten haircuts in the past but they’ve been few and farbetween as of recent because people kept messing my hair up. I avoided getting it cut and did it myself but I needed a cut bad so I bit the bullet and scheduled the appointment and I am NOT disappointed!!!! I genuinely gasped when I saw my haircut :D Fayra did an amazing job with my haircut and I’m so happy to know that I have a place now that I KNOW wont mess up my hair! I nearly cried when I got home because I genuinely dont think I’ve ever loved a haircut I’ve gotten, let alone even liked it. This lady is AWESOME!!! New customer :D i never write reviews but this place was too good so I had to!

I brought in my 10 year old daugher as a walk in client and Katherine was the stylist working and I have to say she was truly amazing! She quickly got her seated and asked how my daughter wanted her hair cut. She just needed a much over do clean up/trim. Katherine could easily see that my daughter was hesitant and wanted to keep as much of her wavy long hair as possible and without any hesitation Katherine explained to her why it was so important to come in consistently for hair cuts and how much product she should need to use in her hair. It was definitely such a nice thing for her to do, especially since I have been telling my daughter this for quite some time. Katherine also asked if she wanted her hair washed and made sure to tell my daughter that it was included in the price. She did decide to get it washed and she felt like such a grown up! I also noticed and commented that when Katherine was getting ready to start cutting, she put some of my daughter's hair seperated in clips, which ive noticed several times before at other places , they usually wont do that for a quick kids trim. It's really hard to find a great stylist who has the patience and kindness to give children a quality hair cut and I would definitely recommend Katherine for that! She was so personable and that made my daughter fell at ease and my daughter even learned some valuable things about her hair. My daugher was very happy with the way her hair looked afterwards and is now eager to go back for her next appointment to keep her hair healthy! A huge thank you to Katherine for being a rock star!

Had a cut and color package with Katherine. She did a great job with it and made suggestions to achieve the look I wanted. She took her time to make sure the color would turn out just right. Ultimately it turned out well and I’m glad I trusted her with my hair! Thanks Katherine!

Always nervous going to a commercial salon for a cut and blowout. I like a simple trim and a dramatic blowout. Extremely pleased with my results, will be back. Great price!

I went to get my hair colored with Katherine on 11/25. I showed her pictures and color I wanted to go a salt and pepper. I haven't been to a professional in 10 years. Katherine kept showing me colors and I kept telling her it was too dark and she kept assisting she was the professional and to trust her. So I did. When she washed out it was brown.? I hated it. So this whole process was 116.00? So I paid and tipped her 20% and she said let's do a highlight Wednesday because she didn't have time to fix the color because she had other customers. I called Katherine before she closed and asked her what the highlights would cost and she said $68.00 plus I can use the 25% coupon off when I come in on Wednesday. I went home & cried all night and there was no way I was going to work Monday with that hair color. Called next morning and asked if they could fix it today. They said yes so I went in. We discussed the new color and agreed on the light grey to cover the brown with silver highlights. I asked Tess if I can get the highlights if she had time today and she said yes. I am 68 years old and I'm not up on new techniques so I trusted the hair stylist to know what they were doing. 4 hours later Tess took out the foils and my hair was purple? No highlights to be found? I was so upset I was shaking. At the register Tess said it would be 168.00? I was trying to tell her Katherine quoted $68.00 for the highlights. Then Emily came over & said Tess did full foil and toner. I didn't ask for any of that. I paid and left. Tried to call & ask if I can use a box color on my hair so I can go to work tomorrow, Emily told me to go home and wash my hair & purple would come out & don't use a box color because my hair would fall out. After I walked out it wasn't grey but still brown with purple streaks? This is a freaking disaster. I tried to call Tess one last time to ask her at anytime did I agree to a full foil or toner. I thought I was getting color fixed and highlighted like my appointment with Katherine on Wednesday for $68.00 minus 25% coupon. Tess blamed my hair that it turned out the way it did. Really?? That is messed up. If Katherine the manager doesn't help me resolve this on Tuesday when she comes in,I'm going to have too call their Corporate Office. I'm a senior citizen on a budget & they just ripped me off for over $250.00 to leave me with purple hair. Shame on you Hair Cuttery of Carpentersville.
