This has been a long time coming post- sadly. Koza was recommended to me by a close friend. I brought my 02 z06 for a cam package with some additional upgrades. When picking up my car it seemed off- after some digging into it found the wrong cam to be installed. Went back and they had no issue righting this wrong. Now fast forward to new cam in the car, idle issues, surging, terrible drivability and my ac no longer worked. Again phoned in and was told I needed a throttle body and bigger injectors. Went back for a “re-tune” to be told it needs to “learn”. At this point I was fed up and parked my car for months. Finally found a tuner local to me who gave me the time of day to listen to my goals, and not to my surprise he found a lot wrong with my tune. Multiple parameters shut off, wrong injector data imputed, and idle settings not adjust from factory.these are just an few. After a few days with my new tuner this car drives like stock! Koza toldMe with this large of a cam it won’t drive nice. Well I have to say it drives wonderful now. Also picked up 20whp more on a heart break dyno. (Numbers don’t mean anything but nice to know)I have all the documentation on this if anyone cares to see it. I will not be returning or recommending him to anyone. John and his wife are very nice people but my thoughts are they take on to many projects and they are over looked and unfortunately I was one of the ones that got burned. I hope they do get better. I’ve attached my recent receipt for others to see my findings.

The entire team at Koza is superior. We have had our car in multiple times and the work is always meticulously done and exceeds expectations. The team goes above and beyond and most recently stayed until midnight to make sure my car was in perfect working order to meet a deadline. This is a shop where you can feel at home and grow in your build with them. John and his crew treat you like family. I’m very happy with Koza Performance. Highly recommended.

THE BEST PERFORMANCE SHOP IN THE CHICAGOLAND! I went through almost every performance shop in the area with my zo6 and I wish I have started with this one. All the well known shops in the NW suburbs have failed miserably with their customer service, workmanship and trustworthiness. After so many bad experiences with those shops I put my trust in a small shop in Elgin to build my engine. That also wasn't a great idea...there were a lot of issues during the build and at the end the tuner was not able to tune my my car saying that my Corvette had a bad "juju" over it. I almost gave up on my car but I decided to take it to KOZA. All of the sudden the car became alive and without any issues! John is a wizard when it comes to these cars and also he is honest, reliable and very trustworthy. It took him a few hours to figure out the issues and tune my Z. When it comes to customer service, Jake is the man! He kept me informed on the progress and he also made an extra effort to call the builder to let him know what he did wrong with the tune so possibly I could get some money back for the unperformed work. As expected that did not happen...Thanks to Koza I fell in love with my car again! Hats down for the whole crew! Thank you guys again!Services: Electrical repair

I purchased a one piece drive shaft from this company. About a year ago the drive shaft did not have much time on it and I began having issues with it. Contacted the company about the issue I was having and they immediately went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Their customer service was extraordinary (from all levels). The constant communication from Koza was nothing short of the best. I received not only phone calls but also emails regarding every aspect of the process. I could have been charged for repairs and/or a new unit BUT Koza ensured that they stood behind their products. If you want to experience excellence I 100% recommend Koza Automotive and Performance!

After dealing with 4 different tuners and had many issues I brought my car to them for a tune. The car has never driven better and when I did have a small issue they fixed it with no questions asked. The shop is very professional and care about the customers cars. Thanks Koza!

Gave them the dimensions requested (pinion flange face to tip of output shaft) and was told they shortened driveshaft to comp for “suspension travel” on a 5/7” dropped truck. Was told it’s normal, Well yoke end riding on tailshaft bushing pushed bushing out and let it vibrate and move on output shaft. The motion had to go somewhere so it bent the output shaft and all hell broke loose. Ruined LSA motor, hand built exhaust, frame, bed, built trans, caltracs bent, wiring and trans lines ripped. Lucky to be here, tuning at 200 Mile mark on a 2 year build and they won’t even reply to any forms of communication.

So originally I gave Koza 5 stars review: I ended up deleting and parting ways with koza because of my negative experience. I was gonna let this be but since I just came to find out that Michelle, John’s wife and front manager spoke poorly of me. I found out that she told the person who dropped my car off that I ask too many questions. That really aggravates me because this is my first time using this company to do a major job and this is a service business. It’s extremely unprofessional to talk poorly about customer who has legitimate questions. Even when I dropped off my car Michelle said she didn’t know when they would start on my car and I should of discussed this before dropping it off.. even tho I gave them 6 week notice and paid the deposit. On top of all this Michelle said I had to pay 1/2 the bill upfront due to it being so large… even tho I supplied all the parts. I was at least happy with John’s communication and the fact that he refunded me for the tune. Michelle’s lack of professionalism and lack of knowledge on products, labor price, and scheduling lead me too this. If it wasn’t for John professionalism I right would of given a 1 star based on the drop off day, a need to give a deposit before any work is done and having to bring the car back 4 times. If I could go back I would have gone to speed inc like I ended updoing and I would of spent less labor money and tuned right the first time.Services: Exhaust
