“About as good as one can expect on Christmas Eve. Finding the entrance is neither obvious nor intuitive. The freaking 25¢ carts were really hard for my weak arthritic joints to maneuver. Typical euro market. Aldi seems to have good meat prices. Everything is neat and clean.”

“For many years, Valli was our go-to-market for food. The variety of products carried is outstanding. They have an enormous selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Since they get people of multiple ethnicities, they have a very good selection of cultural foods. And, up until a few years ago, their prices were much lower than other stores.When they raised their prices several years ago, we virtually stopped going to Valli on all but a few occasions. This time, we needed a variety of Latin/Mexican foods, so this was our first choice.First, their fresh salsas, guacamole, pico de gallo, and other freshly made items are second to none. They still have the widest variety and quality of fresh fruits and vegetables of other markets I go to. Their milk and dairy products and frozen foods are priced more than most other markets. They still have a great selection of cold cuts, which are a much better value than other deli counters. They have a good selection of fresh meat (and some seafood), including taco meat and fajitas to buy and cook at home. I have never tried their bakery, but everything looks delicious. And they among the the largest selection of fresh-frozen fish in our area.If you need it, they have it. Still, with some of their pricing matching or even higher than the supermarket chains, we limit our trips to Valli when we need something we know we can get at a specialty market or only there. And many of the Mexican and Asian grocers may carry a much smaller selection but have better prices. Still, there is something about Valli - maybe having everything in one place, the friendly and helpful employees, or something else. Valli still holds a place in my heart.”

“I think this location used to be a Best Buy but that's gone now and ALDI is in its place. It is a very formulaic ALDI that is laid out and stocked the same as every other I've seen in 2023 whether Mount Pleasant South Carolina or Fort Myers Florida. Aisles of boked and canned goods, an aisle of produce items, coolers along the back with some fresh and deli foods, more along the side with butchery including chicken, beef and fish. Frozen aisle with bunkers of heat-and-eat pizzas and whatnot. Down the middle, cleaning and household. And the ever present "Aisle of Awesomeness" full of random things that might be seasonal and might not. You just never know what you're going to find there! “This store always has what I need for relatively low prices, the employees here are always so nice. The people working the butcher area always make sure I get what I want, the cashiers always have a smile on their face, and I always see the same person working outside and he always helps me get my groceries loaded onto my car, I don’t get that anywhere else, overall awesome store ^o^”

“I like this store. It's rather different than other grocery stores in a good way. They don't have a large variety of each type items. What they do have is of good quality and well priced. The downside to this is if they run out of an item such as their store brand coffee cream, your out of luck. Their workers are very friendly and always hard at work. Seems Aldi treats their employees good. I've see the same employees working there for a long time. This place is clean and well organized. Many items are seasonal so at times your forced to shop else where to complete your shopping for items such as almond extract, and ice-cream cones. I scratched my head when they told me they didn't have tarter sauce because it was was seasonal.”

“I just had an experience at the West Chicago Aldi that simply must be recorded. The woman working at the checkout whose name is Melissa was beyond outstanding. I don't know if I've ever worked with someone so professional and so helpful at a grocery store. There are a couple little things I needed help with and she was the only person available. I expected her to be overwhelmed and exasperated. To the contrary, she literally stunned me with her kindness and high capacity service. I don't know if there's a president of the West Chicago Aldi store, but, if I could vote for one, Melissa has my vote. Now that I think of it, I'd like to vote for Melissa to become the president of the United States.”

“I delivered there a lil bit ago. Checked in at 0950 for a 1000 am appt. Had me in a dock quick. Off property with signed BOLs by 1045 and no lumper fee to unload a whole truck. The lot was kind of tight to maneuver around in but the speed of which I was unloaded was superb. Staff seemed friendly yet busy. Place seemed great. Other than the tight yard it was perfect for me.”
