Jason and another technician came up north to Wisconsin on Wednesday to troubleshoot a Samsung Frame TV. The appointment was in the afternoon and they stayed in contact with the arrival time. Once on site they took an hour and they had the replacement screen and circuit boards on hand and they knocked this repair nicely out of the park. Both were very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them for TV repairs in the future. Being in the Madison, Wisconsin area we have had a lot of issues getting warranty work set up done in the past. Barrett's TV has changed my opinion of Samsung TV's warranty coverage.

TERRIBLE service! Came to fix my tv. Didn't have the right part on a Wednesday. Took it to their shop and said it would be back Friday. Nope! Said they would deliver it first thing this morning (Monday) at 11. Now they won't be here until 1! Wasted 2 days waiting for them! Will NOT use them again. Reported them to Samsung warranty also since this was a warranty job.

Had a great experience with Barrett’s for a Samsung warranty repair. Brian and Jesse were quick and efficient and had the parts on hand to resolve the issues. TV was back to normal within 20 minutes.

SCAMMERS AND LIARS - STAY AWAY!! Brian and Ivan came out to fix my tv since my AirPlay was not working. When testing, they could not get Airplay working using my WiFi. They tried Airplay using a hotspot on their phones, and AirPlay did not work then either (on one of their phones my device wouldn’t even show up, on the other it worked for two minutes before crashing). They then lied and said they fixed the tv. Not only that, but they completely smugged and ruined the screen (photo below). Horrible service. Stay away.

If I could give this company no stars I would. Ivan the service tech was nice but he walked into my home with no tools and no equipment needed to repair the tv. That was a huge red flag. He called his supervisor then Samsung and reported that my tv didn’t display any issues and that he had to leave because he had other customers. To make matters worse, he reported to Samsung that there were no issues with my tv so now Samsung wouldn’t send another service provider without charging me. DO NOT us this company and if you can do buy a Samsung tv.

The so called owner of this "business" is the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Samsung created a ticket for my TV repair and the owner Don called me screaming about how he wasn't going to fix my TV and not get paid for it. He told me "you fix it yourself if you want it for free". He then canceled my ticket order without even speaking to anyone from Samsung. The Samsung service rep said Don frequently gets upset when he's asked to fix tvs under warranty so I'm not sure why he is still in business

Charged me $60 to come tell me my TV was broken. I was told they would inform Samsung of their visit. Instead, they "cancelled" the visit post hoc, thus leaving no record of their visit. Now, samsung tells me they need to get someone out there again. It's as if they never came to my house. Also, frankly the workers were very laissez faire and did not understand my issues.

I had Barretts come out for a Samsung TV repair. They were quick and prompt! The part I didn't like is they took my power supply (the problem) with them, I thought maybe to match up? They said they didn't have the part and would have to come back, no problem. They came back a few days later and installed a "part". I Asked if it was a new part, they didn't know. Asked if it was a original Samsung part, they didn't know. I asked if it was my original part that was repaired, they didn't know. I asked for my original part back since I was charged for a original NEW Samsung part, they said they didn't know where it was.I called the shop and they said they needed to send it back for a core. I called Samsung and they said they don't require a core for a power supply. Called the shop back and they said they would give the part back but I had to wait for them to "find it" maybe the installer still had it. They said to wait until tomorrow and they will find it and have in at the front desk waiting. I went to pick it up and it couldn't be found, again! Said AGAIN maybe the installer had it and he wouldn't be back the rest of the day. Got back home and they called and found it again. They said we could come back and get it. I asked since we WASTED time and money driving there for nothing if they could ship it to us, the guy got mad and said no. They should have brought it back the first time since the installer seems to keep all the old parts. The reason for wanting it back? Barretts installer said it's VERY common for them to go out and they're only warrantied for 30days!!!I have someone that does tv repair (unavailable at the time) and he said the power supplies are easy to fix and he would do it for me in case it failed again, to have a back up, seemed like a good idea for a $210.00 part. The first one lasted 2.5 years on a $3500.00 tv.My experience with Barretts in Carol Stream.

Canceled my Samsung request without even speaking to me. They told Samsung that I canceled (lied) so I called them to find out why did they cancel but they never answered phone.

I’m very surprised with some of the negative comments because my experience could not have been smoother. I do have an issue with my Samsung 58” LED going 1/3 dark due to a defective panel but that’s not Barrett’s fault. I started by contacting Samsung and they sent me the information that Barretts would be the servicer but my tv was out of warranty (it was just days short of being 2 years old). When Barrett’s called, I was informed that there would be a $60 fee to come to the home to check the television. I agreed to that. It was very obvious once the technician (Brian) arrived, that the television had a burned out panel. He was on the phone with Samsung and they had informed him that the part would be approximately $600. We both agreed that buying a new television would be more economical, but… Brian suggested calling Samsung directly and asking for a one time repair, since this problem was not unique to the Samsung LED televisions (their message boards are full of similar issues) and was not quite two years old. He said that I would need to get past the initial customer service operator in order to make this request, in all likelihood. Brian also suggested that if they would not do that to ask if they would replace the part at no cost if I paid the labor which was then quoted at $150. So that’s what we did.Once Samsung agreed we heard from Barrett’s the next day and scheduled for the following day. Brian arrived with another worker and the set was repaired within 10 to 15 minutes. As far as my actual interaction with Barrett’s I couldn’t be happier. They were timely, and Brian was immensely valuable in helping me get the service that one would expect when buying an expensive television even without an extended warranty. Without his help the television would’ve had to have been trashed and I would’ve had to incur the cost of the new set. Both Brian and Gabriel, who accompanied him on the second trip, were polite, professional, and extremely careful to be neat and respectful to my home. I am very pleased with my interaction with Barretts.Photos below show progression and repair. Lol on the Johnny Depp trial, it’s what was on!
