We have been clients of Carlyle Animal Hospital for many years. They treat us very respectull and understand our needs and the needs of our fur children. We moved out of carlyle and we still kept our animals with Carlyle vet! It is worth our drive of 23-25 mile to get the care that is needed! Our girl Molly was at the end of her time on earth. When we took her in, we were with her in her final moments. I was able to sit on the floor with the Dr. and lay her in my lap as she started her journey to Rainbow Bridge...When we picked up her remains from being cremated, they also gave an imprint of her nose and and pawprint .. I was touched!!! If you choose this as your vet, you will be very satisfied. We are treated as family!!

Dr. Scott is very caring and smart. She communicates well and allows me to make a decision based on what I am able to afford to pursue, and it is clear that she makes recommendations that are in the best interest of the patient. Her honesty is refreshing. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogs.

Thank you to Michelle and her amazing staff and docs for caring for my dogs. After reading some conflicting info about the best time to spay my dachshund, Michelle spent time helping me sort through the pros and cons of waiting past 1 year. I’m so grateful for her attention to current practice and best advice for our breeds!

So I'm going to go ahead and say something about this owner or so called vet that needs her license took and never be around animals again, she is condescending, smart mouth and as most reviews say ,they only care about how much money they can get off of pet parents, after looking through the reviews I can see I'm not the only one who thinks this, and to see how they have responded to people leaving reviews,I mean very defensive and hateful to people!!!!!!!I have seen Facebook post warning people to stay away and sharing stories of how awful they were treated,I agree they need to be exposed on every platform!!!!!

If you are going to be a vet then you should care about the animals, this place obviously doesn't, a small dog was brought to this place in need of treatment iv fluid and they turned momma away because she didn't have full payment ? if you can turn an animal away over money that could die then you don't need to be a vet and I will expose this place on every platform, you should be ashamed because the pup passed away.

I had a very disturbing experience at this animal hospital. My little dog Moochie hadn't been able to eat for 5 days, and I had to carry her out to go to the bathroom. Her normal vet was out sick and we had to take her to Carlyle. You guys did blood work and x-rays and determined it was an emergency surgery to remove three stones. During pre-anesthesia Moochie died but you were able to revive her. I received a phone call explaining all of this and the doctor told me that I would have to take Moochie to a Cardiologist before he would operate again. He also told me that she had Cushing's disease and in enlarged heart. The bill would be $2500 for the procedure. They sent her home with a dose of antibiotics and a $500 bill. I asked the doctor about her not eating for 5 days, he said he was not concerned and that We needed to get rid of the infection. I called my regular vet and they told me to come down that they had something I could give her full of vitamins and nutrients and also a couple cans of dog food that I could dilute and feed her that way via a syringe. She started showing some improvement as she had a real bad UTI infection with blood in her urine. As she got her strength back, we made an appointment with her regular vet and were given more antibiotics. Her vet did the surgery and removed 10 bladder stones! We were told she did not have Cushing's disease and that she did fantastic during the surgery. She is back to her normal self!! The whole bill for her surgery cost me $300 including her medication surgery and a three-night stay at the vet hospital. I would never recommend Carlyle animal hospital to anyone that loves their pets!UPDATESoon after I posted my review, the owner of the animal hospital, I believe her name was Michelle called me and gave me an earfull. Very unprofessional and at the end of the conversation she told me if I did not remove my post I would never be able to bring my animals into that hospital for treatment!

My a French Bulldog had an allergic reaction and her face was swelling, so it was an emergency and I called this place, (Keep in mind I’m not a client a regular) and they were more than happy to get her in and treated with an hour notice! Definitely will be my primary vet from now on! 10/10 recommended!

My dog was having issues with her hip, thinking it might be hip dysplasia due to her age and size. Dropped her off at 8AM, as she was expected to be seen between other appointments. Called at 11AM for an update, she hadn't been seen yet. Waited until 1PM, she still wasn't seen and we decided that we'd take her elsewhere at that point.I'm not sure of the conditions she was kept in, but I'm going to assume they kept her in a kennel without water. As she proceeded to drink a large bowl of water when we arrived home. Not too sure if it was just don't-care Fridays but I'd prefer if these goobers made an actual appointment time rather than saying "Drop off, then we'll see when we can"; because that resulted in my dog with potential hip-issues sitting in a kennel for at least 5 hours without water.EDIT: The goober owner replied with an absolute asinine answer. We would have gladly had her fast had we known of the sedimentary requirements; as we were not informed prior. There was literally no communication as to what was going on, as we were only told "she hasn't been seen yet" when calling. Don't necessarily appreciate the condescending attitude, especially when our dog had been in pain that made it difficult for her to lay down at home.As far as the stupidy of Google not allowing reviews from those who didn't patronize a business; if a restaurant doesn't serve any food in a timely manner but you still attempted to patronize the business, then you'd still be allowed to post a review stating your experience. I can see why there was a lack of transparency if this dingdong is running the place.I genuinely just wanted transparency and a real timeframe rather than my dog spending half the day in a kennel. But the owner managed to reply without taking responsibility for the lack of information. I do treat my vet techs well, but when I don't get any information regarding the situation--especially regarding my beloved dog--then yeah I'm gonna get snippy snappy.I'll let anyone reading this know I take full accountability for irresponsible actions of taking my dog here.

I do not usually make reviews, and this might be one of my firsts.I encourage ANYONE with a pet to visit this team. I have been treated with nothing but care and respect by the entire staff.Recently, the gentleman who used to own the hospital was filling in. He still made it his duty to come out and explain things like he still owned the place! A retired person doesn’t have to do that ;)You can really tell that everyone involved really cares, and that’s why you should go check them out!
