My cat had an issue that just arose and I called and was able to get in the same day. They quickly checked me in and were quickly seen. The veterinarian showed up soon after and was able to diagnose and medicate. My cat is back in shape and happy as ever

First time taking my cat to this vet.
It was very direct and easy to get everything done and questions answered!
I personally called in for an appointment, though loved the workers that were present.

Got my dog(pit-boxer) in fast when we called about him being overrun by fleas, and no-one else could get him in soon! They loved him(of course he loved them just as much if not 100x more) and he did great while we were there. Both of the workers there at the time were awesome and so sweet to him. It was quick, easy, informative, helpful, and most of all, affordable.

We love Spears. Have been taking our dogs there for many years. Seems like staff care more about our babies than profits. Kind and caring.

We needed an immediate appointment and our usual clinic was booked out. We tried several places and then found this wonderful hospital. We had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Sarah Placek. She was a phenomenal doctor and her staff was so patient with my girl. I felt so heard and all my questions answered. I am honestly considering switching where I take my pups as I think we all will get better medical advice here.

The vet my roommate saw is completely negligent. The cat very very very blatantly has a urinary blockage, which can be lethal, yet the vet didn’t even do an X-Ray and gave an antibiotic and sent the cat home. Now the cat hasn’t urinated in over 24 hours, isn’t eating, and is now being taken elsewhere to be hospitalized. I take my own cats here, but not for long. If they treated my roommates cat this way, I don’t trust them with my cats at all. We will be switching vets ASAP!

Spears Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pets. They are very knowledgeable, and very kind. I wouldn't take my furry babies anywhere else.

This was our first time at Spears Animal Hopsital and everyone was just so amazing! Dr. Placek and her vet tech were both very kind and patient with my dog Sadie who was experiencing some allergies and infection. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vet in Southern Illinois!!
