I really hate this company; Besides raising the price astronomically, my neighborhood always has outages, which is great for someone who works hybrid. Would love to switch, but not many options in this area. Would love for someone to recommend another company that doesn’t suck this bad, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Medicom has been nothing but a pain since I first got their services. They are the only provider in this area and as a Medical Student, I have had no choice but to have them as a service provider. Their service is TRASH and I’m actually not sure how they have paying customers. Their service agents are rude and not helpful. They have no customer service skills. My service went out daily for a period of 2 weeks because they can’t troubleshoot from their office and I had no availability when they had a technician and they were back up for at least 4 days. Then I called to let them know when I would be canceling my services, it would not be for another month, but they shut it off the next day. I had 2 1/2 weeks left and they were inconsiderate and did not fix the issue. I could go on and on about how terrible their service is, but I’ll spare you the details. Please, I am begging you, DO NOT GET THEIR SERVICE.

Lost Bally Sports channel overnight! Called customer service: 1) Static on the line - couldn't understand rep; 2) Rep didn't speak English as her first language; 3) Rep talked too fast and wouldn't slow down even though I asked her to several times; 4) There was no American in their office; 5) normally, I don't do business with companies that outsource American jobs to other countries, but I have no choice. Mediacom is the only cable service for my apartment building. 6) I'm fed up with Mediacom! If I could change providers, I would!

Expensive and constant outages sums up my experience with Mediacom. I’ve had their internet for about 6 years. During that time my bill has gone from under $50 to over $100 to now $94 (with no changes to my speed or usage). The service is worse now than it has ever been with outages several times a week; what seems like daily. I am only a customer because they are my only option for high speed internet. I would switch in a heartbeat if there was another option. This review is for anyone that is considering Mediacom and has another option…TAKE THE OTHER OPTION!

Long story short, it has been 5 weeks without internet and it’s going to be an additional 2 weeks before this is fixed.Every in-person appointment is scheduled about 1 week out. If any problem arises when the tech arrives (such as not having the right router and modem package or the property not being wired) the problem must be fixed, then a new appointment can be made for another week out.If you cannot survive without wifi for 1-2 weeks, even when wifi is out for a simple fix, do not go with Mediacom.I’ve heard their service is great once installed but I would not know. I may come back to edit this review if I get to that stage. I will also come back to edit this review if it takes longer than the 7 weeks I’m expecting.

As a long time customer, Mediacom started out great with their high speed internet. However, over time my bill went from $138 to $220 for cable and internet. During that time they removed various channels and streaming services. The internet was generally good, but the cable service got glitchy (poor signal throughput). Ultimately it was the lack of a quality signal the made me decide to drop their service.

They wont even come to my house. They wont tell me if im eligible. My neighbors all have it. Technicians have told me I have a service pole in front of my house. There customer service people claim they cant find my house. No magic tricks folks. Come take a look. Then customize service people hang up, dont call back, never have answers. I want to get service like the neighbors on both sides of my house. I cant even give my money to what i assume is a for profit company.

Mediacom was suppose to come out for my last service call. They "tech" decided to cancel my appointment 15 min before my window ended. (12-4 pm I also took off work for the appointment) They didn't try to call me or text. Simply just didn't want to come out for my appointment. I called "Customer service" to see if I could get ahold of the "tech" they told me no.I've been with mediacom for around 15 years and they are a garbage can of a company. They do not care about you. Frontier is running fiber, get on their list.They also will do a -6/10 with running the line. Picture below.

Mediacom doesn't have good customer service and honestly they don't care. Any problem you have with your service is equipment error and they ask you to return your equipment to Carbondale office for swapping. That NEVER fixes the issue but they don't listen. Apparently they except us to do their job. When you finally get a appointment for a service man to come out he is late or doesn't show up. Sometimes if he does show up if doesn't even fix the problem. It's so frustrating.

Such a terrible company. If I had other options, I would select them in an instant. Unfortunately, mediacom is the only provider available at my house. I waited a week for them to finally make my appointment, and waited around for 3 hours only for them to never show up. They didn’t call me to let me know they were coming. The soonest appointment I could get after that was 3 weeks later… almost to the end of the month WHICH I ALREADY PAID FOR. So disappointed with the poor quality of service from mediacom, not to mention the ridiculous price. Avoid using this company at all costs!Edit: after reaching out to their very unhelpful customer support team multiple times, they still refused to give me an earlier appointment… after their technicians failed to arrive or contact me the day of my scheduled appointment. Still extremely dissatisfied with this company and still would not recommend using Mediacom to anyone.

Poor internet signal and dropping internet out of the blue. Called Mediacom 12 minutes with the auto phone fixer couldn’t fix, then another 25 minutes with tech support no support there. Then tech came raised his voice at me in my home when I tried to explain issues. Said it’s the house structure preventing signal when it was fine a week ago there have been no structural changes. . The customer has no voice. Long story short do not get Mediacom.

Terrible provider. Our internet at our business goes out every day. We've called more times than I can count. Had numerous techs come out. Replaced all our equipment. It's clearly a problem with the line, but they refuse to do anything about it.
