Would like to say that our stay was very pleasant. Myself and my wife was there for three days. The staff there was awesome. ( The gentleman who provided the breakfast buffet. ( Mr. T ) was one of the best Highlights for me. He had the buffet loaded. From breakfast bowls to omelets. And did it with a smile and great conversation. The lady's on the front desk was awesome as
well. And another shot out to my guy, Mr. Richard. Again a very pleasant stay. And a great Staff. " WELL DONE "
Donald and Cynthia!
Rooms: Nice size. Full range of what u need. Nice kitchen. Nice size Tv. Just Great!
Safety: Doors would lock at a certain time. No access without your card.

Positives - rooms were clean, hotel is new, has surprisingly good amenities, good breakfast, indoor pool, outdoor nightly fire pit, dog friendly.
Negatives - PKs bar next door is out of control loud. If you’re a light sleeper, prepare to stay awake until 2am. You’ll also hear the train come in every hour and blow whoa loud horns. The train wasn’t as bothersome as the bar.

The rooms were sub-par when compared to other Home2 locations I have stayed, but that was not my major issue. This place is located right next to a noisy bar and railroad tracks. As I am writing this at 3:30 AM I think we are on our 9th train since trying to go to sleep around 9pm. They blast their horns less than 100 yards from the hotel, making it impossible to sleep here. This is absolutely miserable.

as I type this, there is a loud rock band playing 200 yards away at a club called PK's. it's 11:30 on a Sunday night. there was was also a protest march and fireworks earlier.
there is a train line nearby and the hotel is located between the 2 main streets in town. it's always loud here.
the staff are like trained robots here. they smile but are not actually helpful in any way. just ask them how to use the printer in the main lobby to see what I mean.
minor detail, but the "do not disturb" signs fly off the door handle when you close your door.

Decent rooms, but don't come here for charging. They don't do anything to protect the chargers from gas vehicles and management is well aware of it and prefers this. They dont seem to mind wasting my time, I doubt they'll care about yours.

This hotel was great. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and polite! I liked the pocket window shade that prevents light from entering the room at night! The gentleman at the breakfast counter was very courteous. Our overall stay was great!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've stayed at many Hilton Hotels across the country and this was surprisingly one of the best. Their breakfast blew me away. Better than the ones I've stayed in larger cities like OKC, San Antonio, Houston, Little Rock, Birmingham, Memphis, and Nashville. Very impressed. Hope they are able to continue this high level of performance and professionalism.

Fantastic location, many restaurants and bars a short walk away. Staff friendly and helpful . Beautiful lobby and patio and an excellent breakfast..Rooms leave a lot to be desired, our first room had a bathroom door that was impossible to keep closed and our replacement room was less than clean and the toilet paper holder was defective. The indoor swimming pool was the coldest pool I have ever seen in a hotel, I estimate the water temperature to be about 70 degrees,If location is not a priority, there are other hotels at a lower cost in Carbondale that have nicer rooms with one on the west side of town being less than half the price.

We were surprised by this hotel -- The room was spacious and clean, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the staff was very personable. Another way this hotel surprised us was not only that we found a MACHETE in our room, but that no one seemed to be phased. When I found it, I promptly called down to the front desk, as we were travelling with a 2 year old and cannot imagine him getting his hands on it. The attendant came up swiftly, and said "huh. wonder how that got there. thanks for letting us know!" and removed it. That's it! Again, I'm glad I found it instead of my 2yo son.. which could have posed a serious safety issue. I with the staff would have seemed as half as concerned as I did.
