Please please please… do not book an appointment at this JCPenney salon. I booked with Dominque for a simple shape up to my already styled hair .. no curls, nothing extra just a shape up…. She jacked my head up so bad, gave me a bald fade when I NEVER ASKED FOR THAT I WAS HORRIFIED ? please don’t support this JCPenney salon … SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HONEST … she lied and said she specializes in cuts it’s absolutely no way in hell she has any experience in any hair stying at all … now I need 6 months to grow it back … deserves 0 stars

Have been going to the salon quite a bit. And I had a wonderful stylist. I didn't know until I scheduled an appointment she was gone. I made an appointment and the young woman who was to do my hair told me that she cannot give me the style I wanted she didn't know how. She called another stylist and the stylist said she couldn't do it either. I know that there's different levels of stylists at Penney's but I was really disappointed. I called another Penneys, and they had somebody who could do the style I wanted but they were all booked up and it's quite a distance from me so so I'm going totry another Penneys try but not River Oaks I'm sorry.

I have been getting my hair done at the salon. I missed a couple of months because of financial difficulties. But I needed my hair done so I found out that the young woman who did my hair was no longer there. So I made an appointment so I went to my appointment and I told the young woman what I wanted done. She said she didn't know how to do it or she couldn't do it. I was shocked. She called on the phone for another stylist and they said they couldn't do it. What I wanted was a pixie cut. And she seemed so nonchalant about it. I was very upset. Real close to where I live and I can walk there. But now I have to find another place to get my hair done because I don't know the vibe just wasn't there.

I purchased a mattress and box spring and (5) months later the mattress started sinking in the middle. I tried to replace it at the store and was informed that I was passed my 120-Day return policy and I had to contact the JC Penny customer service number to see what they could do. In the meanwhile, I found another mattress that I wanted to replace it with. Contacted customer service and was informed after reviewing my order number that I was sixteen days passed the store warranty and that I had two options, I can purchase a new mattress and box spring, pay the restock and pick-up delivery fee; then they will setup delivery; then credit back the money I had already paid, then setup a delivery date to ship the new purchase. Or I could pay the for the restock and the delivery fee which will cost me $286.88. A solution was not resolved in my favor. The only option I had was to schedule a pickup date and I am left without a bed to sleep in. I asked if she could speak to someone to see if I could pay the difference of another mattress and box spring and that I would pay for the delivery fee. They couldn't help me. I was forced to pay the $286.66 for them to pick up my mattress and box spring, and now left to sleep on an air mattress until I find another mattress and box spring. I was refunded my money, lost money at the same time. I will Not purchase furniture from JC Penny again due to their poor return policy, which the customer will lose at the end. It was easy to take my money, but hard to return it with extra fees.

The Stylist, "Z" did my 9 year old daughter's hair. She was professional, engaging and patient with my child. "Z" consistently worked on my child's hair from start to finish. She was never on her phone, never texting and never involved in conversations that would be inappropriate for my child while doing her hair. I will definitely come back to the salon and let "Z" do my daughter's hair.

If I could give no star ⭐️....I definitely would. This experience was by far the worst. I asked for highlights and specified that no golden color was desired. What did they do? Give me gold with a big blotch of orange in the middle of the top of my horrible!!!!! The damage was extensive with the manager insisting to go back in another two weeks. The stylist went in twice already trying to correct the mistake at hand. I will never go there again for color EVER! The manager also took ONLY 20% off after looking at the issue and demanding a FULL REFUND AND GOING ELSE WHERE TO GET ALL the orange removed I'am extremely disappointed. If I could post a picture of the horrible job done I sure would. Ladies or gentlemen before going to this establishment re think your options. Color is not cheap nor does hair correct itself overnight!!!!!

The most incompetent employees I have ever dealt with!!! Placed a online order, received a call about a week later that my order was at the store. Went to the store to pick up my items and the employee had me to sign that I received the items, but couldn't figure out how to ring it up. She kept doing the same thing and nothing worked. I told her i was going to the children's department to pick up my other item and will come back. She gave me my merchandise and i went to get the other things. While I was picking up my other items the sales associates comes up to me and snatches my online order out my hand and says she couldn't figure out how to close out my purchase. I told her well we need a manager because I signed that I received the item and now you're taking it back. This was an older sales associate, no class, no manners seriously she should retire because this was totally unacceptable. The manager came and right away was able to close out my order and told the sale associate what she was doing wrong. I filed a complaint and called the corporate office. If the employees aren't trained to handle all transactions they shouldn't be at the register at all. Fast forward to yesterday - I went back to exchange my online order because my item was too big and replace it with something smaller. Same department, different employee. I explained what i wanted to do and she said no problem. Well instead of doing an exchange like i requested, she returned the item and then tried to reorder it with the size i needed however it wouldn't go thru. Come to find out my the refund wouldn't reflect in my account right away and there was a hold on my store charge card now. She told me i have to wait about 3 days before i see the refund, then i can go online and reorder!!!! I'm so over JCpenny at this point. The entire staff is overwhelmingly incompetent. Save yourself a world of frustration and don't buy anything online and have it sent here.
