“Prices are appropriate (and an app is available). The only portion of the stock that I found was slightly higher than I am used to was the sodas, and if you time out what deals are available on a given week, you probably won't notice this significantly.Selection of produce is clean, well stocked and the temperatures in the cooler are exactly where they're supposed to be. Similarly, when I visited the meat sections, the cuts were all fresh, properly sliced, properly sealed and the coolers were at and below the needed temperature. As a former butcher's assistant, I am aggressively picky about my meat departments and will refuse to shop in grocers where I find these lacking. I found nothing inappropriate about what I saw here, and the prices are what I expect in 2024.Overall, the selection of goods is much larger than I expected in a local grocer, which was a pleasant surprise. It is larger than I'm accustomed to in Detroit and there's plenty here to choose from. If you're going to shop here, get the app and use that to keep abreast of current prices/deals.Please keep in mind, however, that the pharmacy is a little thin, so this is not a first choice for medications.”

3602 Ridge Rd, Lansing“I love shopping here. There is a large variety of fruits and vegetables. Meat is reasonably priced. You need to bring a quarter to rent a cart and bring your own bags”

1051 E 162nd St, South Holland“Still the best deal in town. Unlike Stracks et al, they don't price gouge. They also don't try to pawn off the "half loaf" of bread for the price of a full loaf. Keep up the good work ? ? ?”

4415 Calumet Ave, Hammond“Turns out when you are a grocery store and just focus on selling groceries as simply and quickly as possible, you end up being a great grocery store.
Don't forget to bring a quarter.”

7925 Indianapolis Blvd, Hammond“The staff is very helpful, I was there 2 weeks ago, forgot my bulky Tissue purchase, went back after 1 week and the cashier remembered me and without hesitation they gave me back my money.”
“Great prices and great products. If you don't want the crowds of Jewel or Mariano's, and are okay with bagging your own groceries and saving money, Aldi's is the place to go.”
“Our daughter always has such a fantastic time when we visit the farm! We love having a family owned farm stand to be able to be able to visit and get locally grown produce from.”
9AM - 8PM
527 W 14th St, Chicago Heights“Good selection of fresh produce, meats, organic grocery items, and healthy options overall. There is a section with items that are "here today, gone tomorrow" that I feel always has some items worth checking out, whether seasonal or going out of stock.
I usually bring my reusable bag and put my items in there, but if I forget it I can usually find an empty box on the shelf or in one of their carts that I can use to put my items in to save on plastic waste and buying a bag from them. Super convenient and great for the environment.
Good selection of meats and fruit, especially if you want something locally grow. Prices fluctuate but they seem reasonable to me in comparison for the quality of items you're getting.
I will say the self checkouts rolling out at many of the Aldi's are game changers. Otherwise, the lines can get pretty ridiculous and, besides holidays, I don't think I've ever seen more than two lanes open at a time at ANY Aldi from Illinois to Indiana. Other than that, I love going to Aldi for the prices, quality of ingredients, and the "here today, gone tomorrow" section!!!
P.S. there is a section in most Aldi locations with items from gardening to shoes to blankets to coloring books. Great finds in there too!!!”
“Get all your fresh produce here. I always get boxes of red ball peppers here every September to last through the winter months and stock them in my freezer. A box goes for $35.”
“Aldi's is a really nice store. I love the "so called secret isle". I have been shopping in that area in the store for years. Seems like any parking space is far from the front door, only criticism.”
8:30AM - 8PM
6518 Columbia Ave, Hammond“Aldi is the best. I do about eighty percent of my shopping here. The best value by far, kicks the pants off of Walmart for value. I average about sixty five dollars a week here for a family of three. They don't always have the best produce but it's generally good. Really good value on dark chocolate, lunch meat, cheese, yogurt, and most staple items. They don't have all the brand names but we've found plenty of things that are just as good if not better. It's always quick to check out. Bring a quarter if you need a cart, and bring your own bags if you have them because they charge for them.”

795 Deer Creek Dr, Schererville“Happened to be visiting someone in Crown Point. This was the closest Aldi to Crown Point on our way back to Chicago. The Spring 2024 apparel line had dropped earlier in the week and I was concerned that all the merchandise would be gone in the city. Begged my husband to give me 5 minutes at this location. He was amazed at all the crap I came out with and slightly disgusted. Lol. Anyhoo Aldi makes my grocery shopping so easy so...I wanna rep them for jokes. Aldi haul included: hat, two tumblers (love them), joggers, windbreaker, socks, key chain (holds a quarter for carts) and fanny pack. Oh plus I got my dog a Aldi hoodie. Only spent $65 bucks. Not bad at all. I regret not getting the Aldi shoes Anyway this store was super clean, plenty of parking. They had self check-out and regular checkout. Additionally plenty of boxes available to put your items in. Staff was friendly and the locals were slightly tickled by all the Aldi crap that I swooped up.”

18901 S Halsted St, Glenwood“Love this store, I love the remodel and the affordable groceries for my family! My only wish is that they had more diapers available, they are the best diapers, and they are always out, bc of the great price.”
9AM - 8PM
2333 E 95th St, Chicago“Actually, Aldi's is a good store. They have some good meats, fruits, and vegetables. They even have a very small selection of gluten free products. The only thing they need more of is gluten free products for those of us that have gluten sensitivities like myself.”
9AM - 8PM
8500 S. Holland Road, Chicago“A very good store. I would award 5 stars ? but for broken men's room toilet ?.Broken at the closet bolts, showing brown stains, also, pathogenic sewer gas from a broken floor drain trap; broken for years!”
“Clean, friendly farm stand with accessible parking. I came for veggies, I found a good selection just hoped for a little more variety. Big John's has a beautiful selection of flowers. I will definitely be back.”
“Large stores and a great selection are only two reasons why I like shopping here. I also like that they carry a selection of items from other cultures. They are located just a minute or two from public transportation and have plenty of parking.”
9AM - 8PM
821 W 115th St, Chicago“It's nice and convenient cause it's in walking distance but my only hang up is there's never no carts, I remember the first time I went there, there were carts every were I go back the next month and to my surprise no carts and the store was not packed at all, So work on that please”
“TRUCKERS,FROM CLINE AVE TURN ON RIVER DR. YOU WILL MASSIVELY REGRET ANY OTHER ROUTE.VERY NICE FOLKS AND TONS OF ROOM TO HIT THE DOCK. YOU CAN SPEND THE NIGHT HERE IF YOU'RE EARLY.”
9AM - 8PM
5995 W Ridge Rd, Gary“Clean and all products on the shelves. First time ever... saw one of the staff diligently cleaning the shelves where chicken meat is placed.
LOVE IT❣️
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ALDI's
Alles gut, danke schon??”
“I love the new look and set up of products. Their prices are still reasonable and on point. The aisles are wider and easier to navigate. There handicap parking spaces are sufficient. The only thing they lack are electrical rolling carts with baskets for people with disabilities. They had one cart stuffed deep in a corner, surrounded by boxes. It was not accessible for use. I don't know if this was due to the fact that it didn't work. If that is the case, I hope that it is quickly rectified and two more are added.”
“Nice little market in Whiting. Easy to find, ample parking lot. Didnt try the hot food but got the tamales from the cooler. Delicious homemade. Got 1 dozen pork, 1 dozen chicken. Awesome, especially when you dont have to wait for the weekend to get them. I LOVE the pork tamales”
7AM - 6PM
1411 W 87th St, Chicago“One of the best places to shop on the Southside for fresh produce and meat. I love the fact that no matter how crowded it is you can get in and out with any problems.”
“The week that I was there, they had nice thick t-bone steaks for $3.99 per lb which is not heard of. Many meat items had very good sale price. Everything looked fresh, however, there was a slight odor. Wear a heavy coat, as it very cold, on purpose.”
7AM - 6PM
1543 E 87th St, Chicago“Pete's produce is always on the honey. I have visited several locations. And depending on the neighborhood, they accommodate food selections for the people.”
“Prices are very reasonable. The only problem? They always have "Vendors". Selling items out of the trunks of their Cars or in back of their Vans. These Vendors are taking up parking spaces ? They set up Tents to sell their items in the summer. Their customers "Hold up Traffic". It is hard to find a parking space (Especially) For the "Family Dollar" customers. (My question is?) Why don't these Vendors move their items to the back of the parking lot? Their customers would be able to park and shop back there; Without disturbing customers who are not interested in buying the items.”
“The manager here deserves all good incentives. One can feel his positive energy, & his desire to keep the store beyond up to par. Some of the customers are ignorant, even senior citizens, but we look over every one of them. The goal for me is to attain food, & go home.”
